He's got those Lads doing the Vatican rag, and has introduced a new kind of Oath. Team Agatha, look out!
Hi,
They put a spam filter
at work, so my supply of business partnerships dried
out. However, some lucky lads still manage to find
they way through.
Here is a current scam, with a tip of the hat to
you...

Dear friend,
This letter may come to you as a surprise due to the
fact that we have
not yet met.
The message could be strange but real if you pay some
attention to it.
I could have notified you about it at least for the
sake of your
integrity. Please accept my sincere apologies. In
bringing this
message of goodwill to you, I have to say that I have
no intentions of
causing you any pains.
I am Mr. Sadiq Yusuf, Branch Manager, First Atlantic
Bank Plc of
Nigeria. I managed to get your contact details through
the Internet
myself. Time is of the importance and I am desperately
looking for a
person to assist me in this confidential business.
A British oil consultant/contractor with the Nigerian
National
Petroleum Corporation, Mr. Claude Brian Best made a
numbered time
(Fixed) Deposit on January 6, 1999, valued at
US$25,000,000.00
(Twenty- five Million Dollars), for twelve (12)
calender months in my
branch. Upon maturity, I sent a routine notification
to his forwarding
address but got no reply. After a month, we sent a
reminder and
finally we discovered from his contract employers, the
Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation that Mr. Claude Brian
Best died from an
automobile accident. On further nvestigation, I found
out that he died
without making a WILL, and all attempts to trace his
next of kin was
fruitless.
I therefore made further investigation and discovered
that Mr. Claude
Brian Best did not declare any kin or relations in all
his official
documents, including his Bank Deposit paperwork in my
Bank. This sum
of US$25,000,000.00 is still sitting in my Bank and
the interest is
being rolled over with the principal sum at the end of
each year. No
one will ever come forward to claim it.
According to Nigerian Law, at the
expiration of 6 (six) years, the money will revert to
the ownership
of the Nigerian Government if nobody applies to claim
the fund.
Consequently, my proposal is that I will like you as a
foreigner to
stand in as the next of kin to Mr. Claude Brian Best
so that the
fruits of this old man's labor will not get into the
hands of some
corrupt government officials. This is simple, I will
like you to
provide immediately your full names and address so
that the attorney
will prepare the necessary documents and affidavits
that will put you
in place as the next of kin. We shall employ the
service of two
lawyers for drafting and notarization of the WILL and
to obtain the
necessary documents and letter of
probate/administration in your favor
for the transfer. A bank account in any part of the
world that you
will provide will then facilitate the transfer of this
money to you as
the beneficiary/next of kin. The money will be paid
into your account
for us to share in the ratio of 60% for me and 40% for
you.
There is no risk at all as all the paperwork for this
transaction will
be done by the attorney and my position as the Branch
Manager
guarantees the successful execution of this
transaction. If you are
interested, please reply immediately via the private
email address
below;
s_yusuf_1@indiatimes.com
Upon your response, I shall then provide you with more
details and
relevant documents that will help you understand the
transaction.
Please observe utmost confidentiality, and rest
assured that this
transaction would be most profitable for both of us
because I shall
require your assistance to invest my share in your
country.
Awaiting your urgent reply via my email address.
Thanks and regards.

Dear Sadiq,
First of all, I am glad you were able to obtain my
private email address. It shows that you are a
resourceful young man.
Your proposal interests me. I like the fact that we
are taking the moral high ground by not allowing the
fruits of this man's labor to go into some corrupt
government official's hands. We are so much more
qualified than those scoundrels. Please fill me in
all the modalities or, even better, the perfected
modalities.
One word of caution: as you probably know, I am a
retired Archbishop with considerable resources at my
disposal. As such, this matter must remain strictly
confidential between us. As some of my former
colleagues used to say, it will be our little secret.
If you do not believe you can keep the appropriate
discretion, feel free to look for another partner.
I look forward to your response,

Subject: PROCEDURE TO THIS TRANSACTION (NEW EMAIL
ADDRESS)
Mr. Sadiq Yusuf
Personal Tel:+234-80-23177686.
Dear Archbishop Papageno della Tetamenta,
Good to you.
I received your email and I wish to thank you
immensely for your kind
interest to co-operate with me on this transaction and
your
willingness and support to assist me in this
transaction. Please, find
hereunder the details of the transaction for better
understanding. I
am very sorry for the late response it was due to the
fact that I was
away on an official job outside my station.
Actually this transaction is real, and one hundred
percent risk free
and does not relate to any breach of law or proceed
from drugs. It is
a matter of necessity to contact you for this
transaction without
further investigation about your person, as I view you
to be a more
responsible personality. It is therefore necessary
that you tell me a
little about yourself.
I
hope you would not betray me. As for Trust, it is a
given thing that
trust is earned, it is not given out lightly; however,
because I need
a foreigner in this transaction, I must give you my
trust; it is worth
40% of this money. I believe that this will keep you
from refusing to
give my own share of the money if the transaction is
completed. All
you need to do is just to provide an account in any
part of the world
where you want this money to be transferred. Upon
receipt of this
account details, I shall immediately begin the
processes of
documentation, which will be done by the attorney we
shall appoint. We
shall make use of two separate attorneys. Like I told
you in my first
letter, the first attorney will draft a WILL, which
will name you as
the beneficiary/sole executor of the WILL. This WILL
be backdated to
purport that it had been written and signed by Mr.
Brian Claude Best
himself. The second attorney will file in the Federal
High Court with
an appropriate affidavit in order to secure a letter
of probate
empowering you as the next of Kin/Sole Beneficiary and
Trustee/Sole
Executor of the Estate of Mr. Brian Claude Best, which
includes the
sum of US$25,000,000.00 lying in the Bank Account,
which I shall give
you. The essence of hiring two attorneys is to make
sure that both
attorneys will not know that this is a deal. The copy
of the
Certificate of fixed deposit will be sent to you via
fax for your
record and better understanding. Upon preparation of
these documents
and approvals from the Ministry of Justice, the
Federal Ministry of
Finance, then our correspondence bank will now
transfer the money to
your nominated account. The attorney will handle all
the processes of
obtaining the approvals on your behalf. All these
processes will be
accomplished within 7 working days and money will be
transferred to
your account immediately. The very good thing about
this transaction
is that it will be done in a very proper and legal
manner. I request
your assistance as a foreigner to provide a personal
account or
company account with the information as follows:
(i) Name and address
(ii) Personal telephone and fax numbers
(iii) Bank name and address
(iv) Account name and account number with ABA number
and swift code
if any(Where you want the funds to be transfered
into).
On completion of this transaction, you will be
required to hold this
fund in your account until I come over to your country
for the sharing
of the money. I would like you to make available to
me your private
telephone and fax number so that we can discuss.
Please confirm your
willingness by providing all the requested information
above. All
modalities for the successful completion of this
transaction have been
mapped out provided that you maintain absolute
confidentiality and
keep to my instructions, I shall give to you from time
to time for a
successful completion.
Please take note of my personal telephone numbers.
Contact me always ONLY on the number above and not my
official lines.
I look forward to your positive response.
Yours sincerely,
Mr. Sadiq Yusuf

Dear Sadiq,
Let's get some things straight from the beginning. I
don't know what church you belong to, but you
obviously are not an Orthodox of the Benevolent
Lacedemonian Order of the Ancient Observance
(Unreformed). I see that you are not familiar with
the titles and privileges that my position carries.
This is not the time for a full indoctrination, but
from now on you will address me by my formal title,
which is "Your Scamosity". Please keep it in mind. I
have learned that familiarity breeds contempt, and
mutual respect is essential to a successful business
relationship.
I am going to open a new bank account for the specific
purposes of this transaction. For obvious reasons, I
am not going to use my own bank. The more I distance
myself from these proceedings the better. I will send
you the details as soon as I have them available.
How are we going to prove that I am Mr. Best's next of
kin? I do not share his last name or even his
nationality. Do I need to create a family tree or
something to that effect? Please get back to me as
soon as possible.
Regards,
Arch. Papageno Della Tetamenta
Mr. Sadiq Yusuf
Dear Arch. Papageno Della Tetamenta,
Good day to you.
I recieved your messages and I quite understood your
points of
actions.
From your message, you said you are going to open a
different account
specifically for this transaction but you must know
that it has to be
urgent as we do not have enough time to spend in this
transaction.
In the question the next of the next of kin issue,
please do not
bother yourself as when you provide all your contact
detials, the
first attorney will then draft the WILL all in your
name and all the
other documents will bear your name making you the
sole
beneficiary/next of kin to Mr. best. So there is
nothing to worry
about at all as you know am the originator of this
transaction I have
already done all my homework to block all the
loopholes in making this
transaction a 100% riskfree success.
So you have to make sure you send to me your complete
details
including your new banking details soonest so that the
first attorney
can commence with the drafting of the WILL. I will
also appreciate if
you call me on my confidential telephone number
+234-80-23177686 so
that I can explain more to you and clear all doubts in
your minds.
Most importantly, you have to be very very
CONFIDENTIAL in this
transaction as this is the only way we can achieve a
100% riskfree
success in this transaction.
I will expect your call and urgent response
Regards,
Mr. Sadiq Yusuf.

Subject: LAST WARNING
I am rethinking my whole commitment to this business.
Looks like you are not able to pay attention to
detail, which makes you an unreliable partner.
This is the third and last time I say this. If you
fail to address me properly I will terminate our
relationship. Go back and read my email from 7/14
for instructions.
