Another fine tale from Lou Sindor, last seen in SLAM DUNK.
Some fun after winning a drawing I didn't enter, noteworthy because
1) our
hero is led in a long prayer by our villain and
2) the oh-so-pious villain
then curses the hero at the end!
Gotta love it.
The villains:
Dr. Bernadette Fallon, of Virgin (sometimes Virgins) Atlantic
Barrister Mrs X, of Tanfield Chambers (not! see below)
The hero:
Lou Al Sindor - 7 feet of baiter
Lengthy scam-o-note:
Tanfield Chambers is a real law firm, in London.
They have, of course, nothing to do with this scam, see their
warning about it.
Barrister Mrs. X is a real barrister with that firm.
Scamorama prefers to X out names of real people apparently being impersonated, unless they are 'public' figures.
[Example: you send your scanned passport to a scammer, who uses it to scam someone else - which the scammer tries here, btw.]
Barrister Mrs. X is neither famous nor anonymous, but it seemed prudent to change her name, as she is probably sick of this.
Now read this hilarious scambait!

This is all very sudden and surprising. Lou I won some money...: This is such a clear and concise expression of the '419' advance fee fraud scam (subgenre: 'unexpected financial windfall'). Post Lou's words on the refrigerator of any friend or relative vulnerable to this scam. Dr. Bernadette Fallon
UK VIRGINS ATLANTIC net-communicationcenter@hotmail.com 12/22/11 Good Day, I received your email and I advise you make contact with Barrister Mrs X via the email address below ( (scammer name)@hotmail.co.uk) she will guide you on the step to take in regards to the necessary courier charges. Once again congratulation. Yours Sincerely Dr. Bernadette Fallon Fax:+44 (0) 871 50 31830 (As usual, we shift to potential victim to the "closer" so that the original scammer can go back to work. I keep asking questions and I'm starting to get in the way.) Lou Sindor
12/22/11 (Barrister Mrs X), Please see below for a message I received. What's this all about? Lou (This contained the forwarded message from "Virgins Atlantic".) Barrister Mrs X

12/23/11 (Barrister Mrs X), It would be much simpler if this package was sent C.O.D. as Western Union is not a very reliable way to move money. There are many who use it as a way to scam people, I've heard. Lou Scamorama hastens to add that Western Union is perfectly reliable if you know who you're sending the money to, and if that someone isn't a scammer :) Barrister Mrs X
(scammer name)@hotmail.co.uk 12/26/11 Dear Lou Sindor, I receive your email and I thank you for the infinite confidence in the delivery of your winning cheque to you. Sorry the listed courier companies do not have Cost of delivery on winning cheque due to the fact that it is the fee of keeping your cheque in their possession and have it checked if it is certified before you receive it. All you need to do right now to get your cheque delivered to your door step. I strongly advise you to go ahead and pay the delivery fee of the courier company so far as to enable them deliver your cheque to you on time. The fee is 358 GBP only and a onetime fee you are to come up with this fee as to process the delivery of your Cheque. Thanks for your understanding.
Yours Sincerely, ("Cost of Delivery"? I guess "Barrister Mrs X" is a little unclear on what C.O.D. is. She also confused her own scam amount; not the sharpest knife in the drawer, I guess.) Lou Sindor
12/27/11 I thought you said it was 378 GBP? Now it's 358 GBP? What's going on here? Also, you want me to send you money, but I have no proof of...well...anything. This is all starting to sound a little fishy to me. Lou Barrister Mrs X
Jan 1 Dear Lou Sindor, I receive your email and I wish you and your love ones a fruitful & rewarding 2012 full of remarkable achievements & joy. Happy New Year.I am sorry for the mistake as nobody is above little mistake. The initial amount you are to send is 378 GBP NOT 358.Please accept my mistake. Please this is a new year and a meaningful chapter is about to unfold, just be patience and have faith in me. You should take care of yourself and have a pleasant 2012 with good health.
Yours Sincerely, Barrister Mrs X
Jan 2 Dear Luo Sindor, Sequel to your email which was noted. Please let me reassure you that,I don't need your money because every expense incur from your end is for the progress of delivery of your cheque. Beside I was born into a christian family even my brother is a pastor herein London so you don't know the gospel more than I do. Please pray according with me please....Lord Jesus, help me to remain faithful to You and your calling upon my life. Strengthen and grow my faith as I daily search Your Scriptures and apply their truths to my spiritual walk. As I go through the trials and experiences of my earthly journey would You fix my eyes and my ever-wandering heart upon Jesus. When the howling winds and forceful storms of this life attempt to shipwreck my faith may they instead prove my faith to be more than sufficient to withstand the continual assaults from the enemy. Because I take refuge in Jesus my spiritual foundation is firm, always dependable, and leads me to glorious victory. Amen.
etc. etc. Thank You, Jesus, that in the midst of loss and devastation, those who trust in You have a salvation that is steadfast and imperishable.
Have a blessed day ahead. Barrister Mrs X
