This Kindly Contributor later heard back from his Lad ("Rosemary Kabila").
"...It was a lot of fun corresponding with a scam artist.
In fact the person actually wrote me back asking if I wanted to
work with them and scam other people. He asked me to introduce him

Here is the email he sent to me: (Later he revealed to me that his

Dear John,

How're you?. I don't insult people the way you do. I strongly believe that
we can put your art into a more productive use than raining abuse on your
fellow human being.

You can be a very good confirmer but I doubt if you will give me my fair
share of any deal. You sounds so greedy that I wonder if I will ever get my
cuts.

Sincerely I don't feel bad about you but fell that you are claver trying to
have some fun. Since the begining, I have been suspecting you but decided to
keep to myself a lot of reservation because wonders do happen afterall.

Let me have your opinion. I sincerely have made great money in business and
have a lot of things to show for it. Can you spare your holiday to visit me
in my country home which I constructed with money of white men?.

I suspected you the more when you sent that your scanned Western Union Money
Transfer papers. You did not use the corect MTCNumbers. This is where you
fell woofly. This exposed your unprofessionalism. Bring your fellow white
men and let's cheat them and I promise you will have your fair share; 50-50%
either ways. Let me know if we have a deal.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSSY KABILA.

immediately we returned back from our London trip.

My husband married us two I am the second wife. I will
not be able to give you the full details of what led
to that urgly incidents. The Eldest Son is the current
President of our country now. For now I am staying in
Abijdan, the capital of Republic of Cote d'Ivoire,
just to save my life with my two children.

The money in question is 22 Million U.S. Dollars. I
can not make the withdrawal of this fund, because my
husband registered the Beneficiary of the fund as his
(Foriegn Bussiness Partner) and he did not disclose
the real contents of the box to the Security Company.
He deposited it as Family valuables. The documents of
the deposit are with me

What I would want you to do, is to assits me to get
the consignment withdrawn from the security company
you will provide a new account for me in your name,
and transfer the money to your country through the
account. We shall replace the name "Foriegn Partner"
to your own name because the code was used for
security reason.I will give you 15% of the money for
your assitance.

remaining balance of the money for an investiment in
your country for the future of my children. If you are

I decided to have a little fun. I set up a fake email address
under the name of Johnathan K. Sebastian and responded to her as if
she had originally sent the message to him.

Dear Mrs. Kabila,

Thank you for your email. I am interested in knowing a little more about
how I can help you. Please let me know what I can do.

Dear Mr. John Sebastin,

I'm in receipt of your mail which is well noted. My
word to you is that I won't let you down and it will
be a blessing to you and your family.

There's no risk involved in this transaction. This is
a kind of personal inherittance from my late husband.
Sequel to this, I will be ready to forward to you the
prove of the existence and availability of this
consignment fund currently under the custody of a
leading Security Company here in Abidjan Ivory Coast
(VIGASSISTANCE SECURITIES S.A.R.L.) for your perusal
and confirmation if you advise me with your private
phone and fax numbers for the transmission of these
documents to you.

Please be informed that I will like to finalise this
transaction with you legally and legitimately to the
last letter and I do hope you will not mind it that
way. Sequel to this therefore, I will be going to meet
with one of the famous Attorney here who will be
drafting an investment agreement that will be between
you and me and immediately the draft is out, I will
advise it to you for your opinion on it before we can
sign the original.

All the documents relating to the fund is there and
speaks for itself. With this I don't think you will
have problems in your country. Actually, an account
will need to be opened where this money will be lodged
but the most important thing to do now is to clear the
consignment from the Security Company. The beneficiary
of the consignment will have to be changed from the
"Foreign Partner" my late husband put it to your name
and address. All these things will manifest in the
investment agreement coming up soon.

Please help me accord this transaction the due
confidentiality it demands

Expecting your immediate response.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

1/28/2003 (I'm not sure how I am going to play this out yet...)

  Dear Mrs. Kabila,

Thank you for your kind response to my email. I believe that things happen
for a reason and not just by chance. I am 42 years old. I lost my wife
about 4 months ago. Her hospital bills and the downturn in the stock market
have left me in quite a pinch right now. You were very timely with your
  proposition.

I think it is a good idea to involve a lawyer there in drafting the
investment agreement. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing this if it wasn't
legal. I will need a few days to review the document, as I don't wish to
involve my lawyer here. She already gets enough of my money now as it is.
She is pushing me to start a relationship with her outside of the office and
I think it is still too early for me. Knowing that I was about to make some
substantial profit would make her even more determined to be with me.

I am fascinated by the fact that you live in the Ivory Coast. I have always
wanted to travel to that part of the world.

I look forward to hearing from you.

  Regards

1/29/2003 - She got the name right this time.

Dear Mr John Sebastian,

I'm in receipt of your mail which has spoilt my day to
learnt that you have lost your wife. It use to be very
very painful to lost a loved one. Only emotional
feelings of good lod days with her can put you off the
track for quite a long time. It's a pity to learnt
about this great loss. Please take heart and may
Almighty God who knows the best give you the fortitude
to bear the irrepairable loss of this magnitude.

Thanks a lot for your continued promise to assist me
finalise this transaction and you can be sure that you
won't regret it. Maybe who knows, God want you to
regain whatever you may have lost in the swing from
the roundabout.

Please let me have without delay your complete address
so that I can advise it to the Attorney who will be
drafting the investment agreement between us. As soon
as the draft is out from the Attorney, I will forward
it to you for your opinion on it before we can sign
the original. I have already talked with the Attorney
this morning in respect of this.

It's my wish just like I said in my previous mail to
make sure that everything I'm doing with you is legal.

If you should take my advice, I will want you to keep
this transaction with you first until such a time I
will consider riped to inform your Attorney there. As
for relationship with her outside official matters, I
too believe that it's too early for you to damble into
any other relationship too soon for the respect of
your beloved late wife. We African women thinks this
way but unfortunately there in the Western world don't
attach much respect to dead persons.

If you advise me with your address today, I assure you
that the draft will be ready for your perusal by
tomorrow.

Once again, accept my unfiltered sympathy for the
death of your wife. You must be in great pains by now.
You can imagine I was in this emotional trauma some
years back so, I know how it pains.

Expecting your immediate response.

 Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

1/29/2003 Time to give her more information about the family and the money.
The name of Liesl comes from the movie, "The Sound of Music". Eleanor is
the first name of the woman who played the Baroness in the same movie.)

Dear Mrs. Kabila,

Thank you again for your email and thank you for your solace towards the
loss of my wife. It was very tragic and unexpected. I feel so much guilt
for putting her into harms way and in a situation that ultimately took her
life. Even though I was able to reach a settlement in her wrongful death
case, the guilt I feel won't allow me to use any of the funds for myself.
To remain objective, I have asked my oldest daughter, Liesl to decide how
the funds should be used. She is leaning towards using half of the money as
a scholarship fund for under privileged children in my wife's name. She
feels we could help so many children that way. The other half would remain
in a mutual fund for my 7 children later in life. What do you think?

But, enough about me. How are things there in the Congo. I'm afraid I
don't know much about that part of the world. Only what I see on
television, and that is pretty much only about the wars and tension. It
must be very difficult for you. How on earth did you ever get over the loss
of your husband under such tragic terms? Do you have many children? With
the money we are moving out of your country for you, perhaps you could come
to the US and away from all the danger there. 22 million dollars would take
very good care of you here. I have a good friend that could help you invest
it so that it will take care of you and your family for generations to come,

I still am somewhat hesitant in giving out my address and phone numbers. I
want to avoid any implications that I am trying to move on too soon after
the passing of my wife. If Eleanor where to find any correspondence between
us, I don't think she would understand. She is a wonderful attorney and
friend, but I fear she would get in the way. She is very unhappy with my
being opposed in keeping the settlement from my wife's case after she worked
so hard to win. I'm afraid that 15% of 22 million dollars would cloud her
judgment. For now, could you please have your attorney use my full name,
Johnathan K. Sebastian, III and leave room for me to add my address. I will
fill in my address and then return the document to you. Which is the more
reliable way to mail it back to you, Airborne or Federal Express? Thank you
for your understanding and support in this.

I know I do tend to ramble, but getting some of my feelings out helps me.
Having someone like you that can understand what I am going through helps so
much. I can tell we are going to be the best of friends. I look forward to
receiving your reply tomorrow.

Best regards,

Johnathan

1/30/2003 (The document arrives)

Dear Mr Jonathan,

I'm in receipt of your mail which is well noted. Many thanks for your
assurance to assist me in this transaction.

Please see as enclosed the text of the Investment agreement that will be
between you and me for your opinion on it before we can sign the original
copy. It will be recalled that I will send to the revelevant documents of
this transaction showing the existence and availability of these boxes under
the custody of the Security company when you give me your opinion on this
investment agreement.

I will need your opinion on this agreement as soon as possible to enable us
progress in this transaction.

May God Bless You.

More from the "Sound of Music"

My Reply,

Dear Rosemary

Your letter was rather short. Is everything Okay? I can only imagine what
it must be like there for you. I saw a report on CNN last night about the
rebel fighters and how the military has responded. I hope that you are
Okay. Do these problems extend into Abijdan and the Ivory Coast? Is your
family in harms way? We need to get you out of there as soon as possible.
Please forward a picture of you and your family. I can't wait to meet you
all. The prospects of getting you out of such a place is helping to ease
the guilt I feel for putting my wife into a terrible situation and not
protecting her

I have read over the agreement, it's pretty straight forward. I have
entered my address and the account number for the account that Eleanor has
set up. I need to tell her about the transaction between us soon, as she is
very curious about the account and the fact that I close myself off in my
office each day to read and respond to your email. She grows more
suspicious each day. I promised you that I would keep it confidential, so I
won't tell her if you don't want me to.

I had to strike out paragraph number three as I can't sign an open ended
document without knowing how much money this will take in advance. Can you
have Mr. Michel look into this and give me an idea of what he anticipates?
I will need to tell Eleanor something to explain any funds that I will need.
I hate to lie to her because she is so trusting. If you think it best not
to say anything to her, I will make something up. I have been thinking
about taking a trip somewhere and maybe I could use that as an excuse.

On a personal note, my children have been chosen to participate in a
National singing contest. They have been singing as a family group for some
time now. They quit when their mother had her accident but have begun again
at the insistence of our nanny, Maria. I am so happy that music has come
back to our house. I can't wait for you to meet them all

The agreement follows this email. Stay safe.

Kindest regards,

John

AGREEMENT was the same as above only I added my address as follows: (No such
place of course)

2. NAME : MR. JOHNATHAN K. SEBASTIAN
ADDRESS : 19638 West Hunting Moose Place, Tuscumbia, AL
NATIONALITY : AMERICAN

The bank account number I gave her is: bank account number 987-XA-314215

I deleted paragraph number 3

1/31/2003 (Well she fell for the CNN story.)

Dear Mr John Sebastian,

I'm in receipt of your detailed mail and the contents have been well noted.
Forgive me if my last mail was rather short. I was only trying to go
straight to the point.

I and my three children are okay healthwise. Sincerely there have been a
Political Uprising in this country since September last year which has
culminated into a civil war in many parts of this country especially the
Northern part of this country but it's about coming into Abidjan the
Economic capital of this country thus my writing you proposal to transfer
this fund out of this country to yours for an investment purposes.

I'm glad you have seen for yourself over the CNN and this calls for quick
finalisation of this transaction so that we can start our journey to meet
with you there in the US. Actually here have become unsafe for us to live
due to this civil war and we need to move out from here fast with your co
operation and I hope that you will help me realise this dream?.

Personally I will prefer this transaction to remain in absolute confidence
for now to avoid Sabotage from anywhere. Elenor will definitely get to know
about this when it's riped and time for her to know. You really have to be a
man that you are.

As regards to the much this transaction will cost, I sincerely believe that
it won't be beyond your capability as it's not much since my late husband
has paid greater part of the demurrage charge of the Security Company where
this consignment boxes are being kept under custody. I will almost
immediately send to you the documents of this transaction which will make
you understand the whole thing that's involved.

You definitely will have my picture with that of my family but I'm
concentrating all my efforts and energies to see how you can assist us get
out of here without much delay since the problem here have refused to be
sorted out by both the Government and the Rebels after series of Peace Talk
in Lome Togo and this recent one held in France before so many Head of
States including George Chirac and Koffi Annan of the UN.

As soon as I send to you the Documents of this transaction, I will forward
to you the procedure to follow to realize the finalisation of this
transaction within the next 14 working Days ahead and so as to enable us
start our journey to meet with you.

I will talk to Mr Dago Djiriga Michael to look into the expenses as you
requested and let you know before the end of the day.

Please Mr John, permit me to use this opportunity to thank you so much for
all these efforts you are making to have this transaction concluded in a
short period. Your family must be a happy and joyful family since the talent
of music is there. Where music is, there's always joy there and so my Bible
tells me. Thanks so much for all your good thoughts towards me and my
family.

May God Almighty continue to guide and protect your family.

Expecting your immediate response.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

J. K. SEBASTIAN

1/31/2003 (14 DAYS!?, we'll have to speed that up a bit. More fun with
CNN. I never even watch CNN. More about the children.)

Dear Rosemary,

A lot has happened since last I wrote you. Yesterday, I received a letter
from my government informing me that they want me to go back into a part of
my former life that I thought was behind me. They are calling me back to my
former post as a captain in the navy. I have only a few more weeks until I
am to report. We must have this transaction completed well before then.
Please ask Mr. Michel to hurry. There must be some way we can speed things
up.

The stories on CNN last night were so encouraging. You must be happy with
the turn of events. I think it is a step in the right direction for your
part of the world. Perhaps it will help to stabilize the area in time. It
must have been quite a surprise for you. The details were a bit sketchy,
can you share more details?

I will keep my word to you and not tell Eleanor for now. I will think of
something to tell her that is not a lie. It is so important to me to remain
truthful in every aspect. I can tell from your last email that as a
Christian, this is important to you as well.

The children are so excited about the upcoming National Singing contest.
Their agent, Max Detweiler, has requested that we come up with a name for
the group. We have decided to name them the "Von Trap Family Singers" after
the maiden name of my late wife Julie Andrews Von Trap. What do you think?
Friedrich and Kurt were especially excited about the name. It was the idea
of my youngest daughter, Gretl.

I look forward to hearing word from you and Mr. Michel.

Kindest regards,

Your Friend John

ROSEMARY KABILA

1/31/2003 (Wow she answered very fast. Less than 2 hours turn around this
time. Ooooh - attachments.)

Dear Mr John Sebastian,

I'm in receipt of your mail which is quite encouraging to me especially now
that you have also seen the more reason why we should hasten up.

As I did promise, please see attached the Certificate of Deposit that was
issued to my late husband on the date he deposited this consignment boxes
with the Security Company.

Also please see attached the Contractual Bond entered into by my late
husband and the Security Company. You will also find attached the official
receipt of the Initial Deposit Payment of USD$40,000.00 which my late
husband paid to the Security Company during the deposition.

Please Mr John, these are documents of my life and that of my children and
it is the trust I have on your person that made me to let you see it because
as it stands now, I have already taken you as my business partner and
therefore, can't hide anything to you.

If you calculate the total demurrage charges from the date of deposition and
subtract it from the Initial deposit Payment, you will come at the
outstanding demurrage charge owed to the Security Company and once this is
paid, we will have access to the fund for the investment as stipulated in
the text of the investment agreement I sent to you for your opinion.

Your observation is correct as regards to CNN report but you should not
loose sight of the fact most of those things you are hearing are Political
Statements and the reverse here is the case. We still hear gun shots, curfew
that was imposed since last year have not been reversed, Most offices are
still not opened especially Banks, there is still riot and lootings of
innocent properties by the aggrieved mobs. What again are the talking.
Achieving peace by mouth and this part of the world want to see it put into
practice.

Please send this application to the security Company without delay. This
will help us achieve our two weeks target.

Your Daughter Gretl was very thoughtful and your late wife must be a happy
person wherever she might be around the bossom of Our Lord. I look forward
in seeing all of them soon. If your government is calling you back for work,
then know that they appreciate your past service to your country. It's an
honour to you and please do honour the service of your Nation.

Expecting your immediate response.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

possible and what the demurrages would be. Also, please let me know the
name of the contact person I should talk with and your phone number so that
I can make the arrangements.

Thank you for your help in this matter.

Sincerely,

1/31/2003 (meanwhile...)

Dear Rose,

I called Viga Assistance and spoke to someone there, but the connection was
poor and I couldn't quite understand the gentleman that answered, I believe
he said his name was Mohammed or something like that. I wish we could have
spoken more, but I was so nervous and I was afraid if he asked me too many
questions that I couldn't answer properly, he might get suspicious and open
the boxes to see what all the interest was about. I was so nervous that I
accidentally hung up on him. I will forward the document to them as you
requested. Hopefully that will be sufficient for them to act on.

In calculating the demurrages, I arrive at the amount of $33,950.00. That
seems very reasonable for the amount of time that the boxes have been there.
But the charges continue to grow each day so we must hurry. How do I get
the money to them without arousing their suspicion? Please have Mr. Michel
look into this for me. I don't want to fail you.

Your late husband was very wise to prepay the $40,000.00. I imagine that he
thought that would be more than enough payment to give him time for him to
get the boxes out of the country. It's too bad that his son killed him
before he could accomplish this. Pardon my curiosity, but how did he do it
so that he wasn't brought to justice?

Pardon me as I ramble a bit, but we are having a large party at my home
tonight. There will be a lot of wealthy people and dignitaries there. I
wish I could talk to some of my closer friends to enlist their help for you
and your family. The children are going to perform for them. Maria has
been practicing so hard with them. The children have grown quite fond of
her and look to her as a Mother figure. They sing everywhere they go and
seem happy again.

Well, Eleanor is calling me to remind me of my appointment this afternoon
with my Navel commander so I will sign off for now.

With warmest regards your friend,

John

ROSEMARY KABILA

1/31/2003 (Wow three messages in one day. I had never called the number. I
got the name off of the documents that she had forwarded to me.)

Dear Johnathan,

I'm in receipt of your mail which is well noted. If the person you got on
telephone at the Vigassistance Security Company said his name is Mohammed
then know that it was their Operational Director because his name I think is
Mr Konan Mohammed.

It was so unfortunately that my step son Joseph organised the murder of his
own father to assume his position as the Present President and having found
out that his late bequetted a lot of things to me due to my loyality to him
while he was alive, Joseph started looking for my life and that of my
children. If you consult CNN and BBC Library, you will understand that
Joseph was at the Military Trainig Base in Belgium where he ploted his
eventual father's death and came in immediately his plan went through
through his cohorts whom he made his personal advisers till date and as well
gave him his present position as the President of my country.

Sometime some day, he will be brought to justice. You may now see the more
reasons why i told you to keep this transaction confidential as those your
friends that will be coming to your place tonight, you never can know who is
close to Joseph.

As you really observed, my late husband had the good intention of concluding
this transaction himself before he met his untimely death. Infact it was on
his dying bed that he told me of this consignment with the Security Company
in Abidjan and told me where in his underground apartment where I can locate
the documents that I sent to you today.

I would have loved you to send the application to them without delay and
like I promised you, if there's anything they asked you that you don't
understand, contact me immediately and I will be prepared to even go to
their office for explanation as they want.

To pay them the demurrage charges is not going to be a problem since the
have offices in many parts of the world and they may give you an account
where you will pay their money. What you want is for the consignment to be
released to you or to your partner (which is me) for onward transfer to your
given account number in the United States.

Please I will want you to remain this matter confidential with you. When
this money is within your finance holding account, we can help ourself to
come over to you on the way and manner I will direct you.

I will like to read your next mail tonight or latest early in the morning
tomorrow telling me that you have sent that letter to the Security Company
as I directed you.

Have a wonderful evening with your children.

Expecting your immediate response.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA

J. K. SEBASTIAN

1/31/2003 (What the heck...)

Dear Rose,

I hope you don't mind me calling you Rose. I feel I have gotten to know you
so well. My great Aunt's name was Rosemary Thyme. She preferred that her
closest friends and relatives call her Rose. She felt that it brought her
closer to them. As we are such a distance apart, it helps me to feel you
are closer to being here safely.

I have forwarded the email on to Vigassistance Security Company as you
directed. I guess we just wait for now. What comes next?

The meeting with my commander didn't go well. I wish I could tell you more
about it, but it is classified. Tonight after the party I have to tell the
children that I will be leaving them once again. This time, I fear, for a
very long time. I think it will undo a lot of the good that Maria has done.
I envy you being so close to being able to start a new life for you and your
children. Sometimes I wish I could just sneak away from here and start all
over.

The children are so excited about the party tonight. They have asked me to
play the guitar and sing a song for our guests. It is a love song that I
used to play for my wife, Julie. I don't know if I will be able to get
through it without breaking down. I played it once for Maria and she
thought it was nice. Perhaps when you and your family arrive here, the
children could perform for you as well.

Have a safe evening.

Warmest regards,

Johnny

Dear Bintou,

Thank you for your response to my email. The packages are not perishable,
but in fact contain precious art and other valuables. I am a rare art
collector. Perhaps you have heard of my art gallery, "Wayne's World"? I
will be arriving from Nepal.

There will be three possibly four large boxes. The measurements are 2.3
meters in length, by 2.7 meters in width, by 3.2 meters in height. Most
definitely, I would like it undeclared. No one must know of their contents.
Please assure me that you will gaurd the packages and keep their contents a
private matter.

I'm afraid that my traveling schedule prevents me from calling you at this
time. If you could please give me an idea of the charges, I would be most
appreciative. If the demurrage seams reasonable, I will contact you next
week to arrange their delivery to your firm.

Thank you for your immediate response

Dear Mr John,

I don't mind if you call me Rose but you will forgive me to ever continue to
address you as Mr. John. With the way I was brought up and the status I've
reached in Society when my late husbands lives, I have been used to
addressing people properly. It's true that we are close yet apart but by the
Grace of God, we shall see eyeball to eyeball before your going back to
service.

I'm feeling how your children will feel when you will break the news of your
leaving then for national service especially now that you will stay long.
Don't you think it may make them to remember their late mother since you
won't be around to give them that fatherly love I believe you are used to.

Thank you for writing the Security Company and if the answer you, please do
not hesitate to let me know.

Though you said it's classified but did I get you right when you said that
your meeting with your commander did not go down well?. Please be very
prudent.

I can't thank you enough for all these your efforts. How is Elenor today?.

I would have loved you to extend my sincere regards to members of your
family but won't they ask you who I am?.
Expecting your immediate response.

2/1/2003

Dear Rose,

Last night was both wonderful and terrible at the same time. Just as they
were going off to bed for the evening, the children sang to our guests.
They each sang their own part and then went up the stairs to their rooms.

Liesl, my oldest daughter you will recall, has a boy friend. His name is
Ralph. Ralph came calling on her last night and they danced in the garden.
They danced until it started to rain. She is 15 going on 16. Ralph is 16
going on 17.

Maria was attending to the children during the party. She was teaching Kurt
and Friedrich how to dance. They weren't quite doing it right so I cut in
and danced with Maria. For the first time we realized that we have feelings
for each other. This made it especially difficult to tell them all that I
was to leave. I didn't have the courage to tell the children.

During my meeting with the commander, I learned that the navy wants me to
report in one week instead of two. I report one week from today. That's
all I can tell you of that meeting.

I hope you won't be mad at me, but I confided in Maria. I told her about
you, the money, the navy, everything. She agrees that we must hasten to
finalize our transaction as soon as possible. We have formulated a rough
plan to get away together with the children. I plan on leaving my home and
all of my worldly possessions behind. The money you are so graciously
endowing to me will help me and my family start a new life.

I must think of the children now. As you recall, we will be at the National
Singing Contest in Niagara Falls next Friday evening. Perhaps during the
show, we could sneak away and make our way across the mountains and into
Canada. It's risky, but I can't leave the children and Maria now. Do you
think we could have this all done by then? We have the money from my wife's
settlement and that will see us through for a while, but we will need your
funds to start our new life.

I have heard back from Mr. Konan Mohammed. His response is as follows:

* * * *

What should I tell him. Obviously, I can't travel out of the country now with things the way they are with the navy. All of my banking activities are monitored through Eleanor and she cannot find out about this now. It would ruin everything. I will have to meet with someone face to face to exchange the money. Do you think Mr. Michel could travel here to the states and receive the money in person? Aside from you, he is the only one I would trust to give it to. I have $50,000.00 in discretionary cash that Eleanor doesn't know about. This would cover the demurrages and his travel expenses.

  I await your quickest response.
  Affectionately yours,

ROSEMARY KABILA to J. K. SEBASTIAN

2/1/2003 (Rose responded. Let's see if I can mix her up on the phone
numbers. She didn't mention anything about the trip to Canada. How
disappointing. I will have to bring it up again.)

Dear Mr John,

I'm in receipt of your detailed mail which is well noted. Listen, we can
finish this transaction within this period of time you mentioned but you
must have to follow my directives strictly and religiously for us to achieve
our goal.

Mr Dago Djiriga Michael either can not travel to the United States at this
short period of time but the money can be paid through Western Union Money
Transfer. In this way, we will overcome the delay travelling arrangements
could cause. Since you have up to USD$50,000.00 in cash, you can afford to
pay the transfer charges without much regret knowing that what we have with
the Security Company can sustain both your family and mine for life if and
only if you can manage the total funds judiciously into a viable venture.

I will like you to contact the Security Company without delay and demand
from them the name with which you could send to them the demurrage charges.
Also send to me almost immediately, the same application letter you wrote to
the Security Company as you wrote it to them so that I can personally go to
their Headquaters first thing Monday morning to submit it to them. Then,
they will be rest assured that we are actually in agreement towards this
change of beneficiary to your favour.

Secondly, you will have to without delay also to write to the Attorney, Mr
Dago Djiriga Michael requesting him to represent you in the High Court of
Justice here for the swearing of the Affidavit on your behalf. You can
mention my name while writing him. I will also go and meet him personally to
pre inform him about the letter you will write to him. His contacts are as
follows:

Name : Dago Djiriga Michael
Address: IMM CCIA 3EME ETAGE PORTE 13 RUE DE JEAN PAUL 11PLATEAU ABIDJAN 04
BP 1162 ABIDJAN 04 COTE D'IVOIRE.
Telephone : + 225 07 655 389

E-Mail : d_dmchambers@yahoo.fr

Please do as exactly I told you without delay since you know that we have
only one week to conclude this transaction and your leaving for the
appointment with the navy.

Can you pay the money in an account or is there any way that you can pay it
to the account I will give you without Elenor being aware?. Please let me
know without delay if possible this night.

I'm happy the way you and your family went about for the Singing
performance. May God Bless your family and keep them until I see them in two
weeks time.

Expecting your immediate response.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

J. K. SEBASTIAN

2/1/2003 (What is Rose's opinion on Canada. What kind of computer does she
have?)

Dear Rosemary,

I received your email this morning. I am sorry for the delayed response.
This is the first time I have had today to even get near my computer.
Magnificent things these computers. And even more incredible is the
internet. I am connected through a V8-X1000 server. The speed is
unbelievable. I image living in such exotic places like you have, you must
also have a V8-X1000 server or do you have the V9-Y2000? Your email seams
to arrive much faster than the other email I receive.

Anyway, Max Detweiler, the children's agent, stopped by this morning with a
gift for the children. I guess he sensed that something was wrong last
night at the party. He brought it to cheer up everyone. It was a large
puppet show. The children put on various skits with it. They were able to
work the marionettes and make them seam as they were coming to life. It was
spectacular! Max spares no expense when he gives a gift. He is extremely
wealthy. I should like to introduce him to you when you arrive. I know
that you will like him.

I must say that I am a bit confused. In your last email you gave the
contact information for Mr. Michael as:

Name : Dago Djiriga Michael
Address: IMM CCIA 3EME ETAGE PORTE 13 RUE DE JEAN PAUL 11PLATEAU ABIDJAN 04
BP 1162 ABIDJAN 04 COTE D'IVOIRE.
Telephone : + 225 07 655 389
E-Mail : d_dmchambers@yahoo.fr

However, that is the same phone number for the Operational Manager of Viga
Assistance, Mr Konan Mohammed + 225 0765 5389.

Did you mean for me to contact Mr. Mohammed to have him represent me? Also,
as tomorrow is Sunday, I'm sure that neither Mr. Mohammed or Mr. Michel will
be in their offices. I will try to contact them on Monday. Right now it is
9:30 PM here in the US. What time is there where you are?

I will send Viga Assist an email requesting their bank account for the
Western Union wire. I want to have it wired directly to them so as not to
delay things and accrue more charges. Also, since they are a very trusted
Security Company, I feel very secure in sending the funds to them. Your
late husband had confidence in them and that is good enough for me. I
calculate the charges to be nearly $35,000.00. Do you think I should send
an even $40,000.00 to make sure that all of the demurrages are covered?

Please give me your advise as to Maria and our plan to leave for Canada? I
value your advise and need someone who can think objectively to help me make
the right decision. If I run from the navy here, I will never be able to
come back to the US. But if I don't, I may not ever come back to my family.
These are trying times and you never know what can happen.

Best regards,
Johnathan Sebastian.

J. K. SEBASTIAN to VIGA ASSISTANCE

2/1/2003 (Time to contact Viga Assistance and have some fun with them.)

Dear Mr. Mohammed,

As you will recall in my previous email, My name is Johnathan K. Sebastian.
I am writing you with regards to the 2 packages that you are holding for the
Late Mr. Kabila. Thank you for your response to my email. I wish to pay
the demurrage for their safekeeping. It is my understanding that the
charges come to about $35,000.00 US. I understand that you would like me to
retain an attorney there to represent me. This I will do very soon. I
would like to wire the funds via Western Union directly to your bank
account. If you will please supply me with the appropriate account number
and the person with whom I should speak at your office, I will see that you
get what you deserve. If there are any other charges that need to be paid
at this time, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can include
the payment with the wire transfer.

I would like to develop some type of a code between us so that I will always
know it is you I am corresponding with. If ever we speak on the phone, I
will ask you the following question: "Why did the chicken cross the road?",
to which you will respond, "Because it was thirsty". This way I will always
be certain that I can talk freely with you. In our emails, I would like you
to always address me as "Mr. Red Baron". This way I will know it is you as
well. Please suggest a code name for you that I may use to address you. I
am about to come into a very large sum of money and if you follow my
instructions and help me in this matter, I will see to it that you are well
compensated over and above the demurrage.

I am acting under the orders of a close friend there in the Coast of Ivory.
I cannot reveal this person's name until I have been instructed to do so. I
will have them contact you. So that you will know it is them, I would like
to devise a similar code for them to use. I am not familiar with things
there and I would like you to suggest a code that we could use. I will
forward the code to my friend and that way you will know who this person is.
Please make it something that is not too obvious, but something that will
seem to fit in with normal conversation. I will await your response to my
questions.

Best regards,

Johnathan Sebastian

2/1/2003 Letter for Mr. Michel

d_dmchambers@yahoo.fr

Dear Mr. Michel,

I am writing you at the request of Mrs. Rosemary Kabila. I would like to
request you to represent me in the High Court of Justice there for the
swearing of an Affidavit on my behalf. I have contacted Viga Assistance
Security and asked them for their bank account number so that I can wire the
demurrage funds directly to their account.

Thank you in advance for your helping Mrs. Kabila. She is a good friend of
mine. I understand that in her current circumstances she may be unable to
pay you for your services. If there is anything you are owed, please let me
know the amount and your bank account number and I will wire funds
immediately sufficient to get you what you deserve. Time is of the essence
in this matter as I will be leaving my country in a few short days and won't
be returning for a very long time.

As a matter of courtesy, I would like you to correct me on the spelling of
your last name. Is it Michel or Michael? I have seen it both ways and I
wish not to offend you. This is very important to me as I have always been
taught to show respect to all people.

Best regards,

Johnathan K. Sebastian.

2/3/2003 (The plot thickens. Poor Wayne has not heard back yet. And I
guess it's Mr. Michael and not Michel. Although, he did misspell my
name...)

Dear Mr Johnathan K. Sebastine,

I have received your letter requesting for the legal services of my
chambers.

Actually, I have heard about you especially from Mrs. Rosemary Kabila. Of
course, you are aware that I drafted the Text of the Investment agreement
that will be between you and her which you and her are yet to sign the
Original copy.

She actually have talked good about you as her Foreign Partner. Based on her
good recommendation about you, we will take up your request as soon as you
send to this chambers, our consultation fee which is an equivalent of
USD$750.00 via moneygram or Western Union Money Transfer.

Please send it in the name of my Chamber clerk : MR BLAIRE MICHAEL, ADDRESS
: IMM CCIA 3EME ETAGE RUE DE JEAN PAUL PLATEAU ABIDJAN, COTE D'IVOIRE.

As soon as you send the money as instructed and communicate us with the
control numbers and the informations of the transfer, we will go to the
Court for an Affidavit on your behalf as regards to the change of the
beneficiary to your favour. This is absolutely important.

It's good to let you know that Mrs Rosemary Kabila came to my Chambers this
morning and have duly briefed me of the details I need to know.

Thanking you for consulting this Chambers.

2/3/2003 (Response from Rosemary Kabila. Notice her pastor's name, George
Williams? He is listed on Viga Assistance's web site as the Accountant (www.vigaassistance.com)

Dear Mr John,

I'm in receipt of your detailed mail which have been noted. First of all,
understand that I gave you the telephone of Mr Konan Mohammed as +225 07 715
374. This was the same number I gave to you with which you got him on line
last time you said you called him.

Whereas the telephone number of the Attorney as I gave it to you is +225 07
655 389. This telephone numbers can't be the same for goodness sake. Maybe
there's a mixed up somewhere from your side. Check very well please.

From your response e-mail, I am begining to wonder if you have ever gone to
any Western Union Money Transfer Office in your country. I hope this will
not offend you but the fact remains that one don't use an account to receive
money sent through Western Union. You only need to collect the name of the
receiver and his/her address to send it. From your own side there, you will
need to send to the receiver the Control Number of the money transferred,
the Text Question and the Answer, the Amount sent and the Name with which
you sent this money to the person. That's all.

Then once the receiver receives this informations from you, he/she will go
to any nearby Western Union Money Transfer Office closest to him/her to
collect the equivalent of the money you sent to Him/Her after 25minutes of
your sending Him/Her the money. This is very fast, rapid and safe. Due to
your travelling outside the US by this weekend, your sending these money
will require this method.

As a Naval Officer, you are not expected to tell anybody at the Western
Union Money Transfer Office why you are sending the money and by the Law of
the Western Union, they are not suppose to ask you and they are not suppose
to know your reason of sending your money to any part of the world where
there is Western Union Office before they send your money.

I have gone to the Air France this morning while returning from the
Attorney's Chambers, and I and my Family will need at least the sum of USD$
7,500.00 to bring us to the US or Canada. I will expect you to send to me
this money through the name of my Pastor to enable us meet with you in the
US or in Canada by this week end. Send the money in his name : GEORGE
WILLIAMS EKEH : Address: ANGREEY ABIDJAN COTE D'IVOIRE.

I will prefer you to send the Security Company their Demurrage charge
directly through their given account they will give to you. But you should
as well ask the Attorney for his fee since I don't have money at the moment
until these two boxes are cleared and brought to you. You can send his money
through Western Union Money Transfer since he need to go the High Court this
morning to represent you in the Court for the sake of rapidness.

The Viga Assistance will nice if you send to them USD$40,000.00 instead of
that USD$35,000.00 because they use to charge for the Alteration of their
Information system which we are about doing when the Attorney will finish in
the Court and advise them with the Judicial Papers which will authorise them
to effect these changes from their computer and documents to your favour.
And Again for any other necessary miscelleneous expenses like bringing the
consignment from their Security Bonded Vault Wharehouse to their Collecting
Centre from where it will be picked directly to the Bank with the aid of a
Bank Bullion Van.

I'm very eager to seeing Maria soon. She must be a wonderful to see based on
your recommendations.

Like I earlier said I will expect you to follow my directives religiously to
enable us realise our one week target.

Expecting your immediate response.

J. K. SEBASTIAN to MR. MICHEL

2/3/2003 (Now to respond to the last four emails. First to Mr. Michael. If
he doesn't care how his name is spelled, then neither do I...)

Dear Mr. Micahell,

Forgive me for bringing this to your attention, but the spelling of my last
name is Sebastian and not Sebastine as you referred to me in your last
email. As I said before, it is important to me to show proper respect to
someone when addressing them, and I can only expect the same courtesy from
you.

Having said that, thank you for your continued response and help for Mrs.
Kabila. She is an extraordinary person. I have been conducting extensive
research about her and her family. You must be very proud to represent her.

$750.00 sounds extremely high for such a simple task as a consultation fee.
It seems to me that you are trying to take advantage of me and Mrs. Kabilia.
I am not prepared to pay more than $150.00 for your services. Please
reconsider your fees.

I will try and contact you via phone this evening. Unfortunately, I will
only have a small window of opportunity to contact you between 7:00 and 8:00
PM my time. By my calculations, that would put it around 2:00 to 3:00 AM
your time. I apologize for such a late hour, but it can't be helped. For
your understanding, I am prepared to add an additional $100.000 to your
fees.

Once we have arrived at a fare fee structure, I will wire the funds
immediately to your Chamber Clerk Mr. Blaire Michael as you outlined. Is he
any relation?

Best regards,

Johnathan K. Sebastian, III

J. K. SEBASTIAN to ROSEMARY KABILA

2/3/2003 (Now to Rosemary. Mathematical problems? Mr. Konan can't add, but
then, neither can John.)

Dear Mrs. Kabila,

I apologize for the misunderstanding in the phone numbers. I have been
under a great deal of stress of late. And now things have become even more
stressful.

Maria must have overheard a conversation between Eleanor and myself. She
may have taken something Eleanor said in a wrong manner. As I told you some
time ago, Eleanor has feelings for me and doesn't want Maria around. Maria
left me a note and has left me and the children and returned to the abbey.
You see, before Maria came to be our nanny, she was in an abbey preparing to
take her vows and become a nun. The children left me a note as well and
left via bus early this morning to go and see her and explain things and how
they and I feel about her. I am leaving shortly to pick them up and
hopefully, Maria.

You didn't advise me about our plans to leave for Canada. It is important
to me to hear your feelings about that. So much is at stake and I must have
someone think rationally and clearly for me. Please, I beg of you to
consult me in this matter.

I wrote a letter to Mr. Michael. I am somewhat concerned about him. His
fees are incredibly high and I feel he is trying to take advantage of you.
I am going to call him later this evening to discuss his fees. If he can't
be reasonable, then we may have to seek another attorney to represent me
there.

You are correct in assuming that I have never visited a Western Union
office. As I mentioned earlier to you, Eleanor normally handles anything to
do with money for me. It may be time to take a chance and discuss our plans
with her. She is very keen on how the banking system works and could easily
wire the money with out complications. She will be able to see any loop
holes where things might go wrong. If you think it best not to involve her,
I will respect your wishes and try and figure out how to wire the money
myself. But she may be our best option. Especially if we can't finalize
everything by Thursday when we leave for Niagara Falls, NY.

Viga Assistance has also been in contact with me. They have now raised
their fees again. They are now asking for $40,000.00. I guess I should not
bring this to their attention, but, they have made a mathematical error.
They say that the charges are now $35,000 and that they are charging an
additional Alteration fee and transportation/insurance fee that is in the
amount of $5,500. Together that adds up to $41,500.00 and not the
$40,000.00 that they are asking for. Should I bring this to their
attention, or should I simply teach them a lesson and wire only the $40,000?
On the other hand, If they come up short, will they keep the boxes and not
release them to you? Maybe it would be best if I send them $45,000.00 and
let you sort it out with them. I will do whichever you think is best.

I appreciate you trying to keep within a budget, but $7,500.00 hardly seems
enough to meet your travel expenses for you and your family to travel so
great a distance. You will need money for food, travel and hotels, but I
suspect there will be a fair amount of bribery money required to get you out
without raising suspicions. I will send an additional $5,000.00 to Pastor
Williams together with the $7,500 to be used as you deem necessary. It will
be my gift to you for your generosity you are giving to me. Sending through
your Pastor is a wonderful idea. If you can't trust a Pastor, who can you
trust?

I will be out of contact for the rest of today as I travel and sort things
out with Maria. Wish me luck!

Regards,

Johnathan K. Sebastian

2/3/2003 (And last of all, Mr. Konan. Sent with the subject: Red Baron,
"Why did the chicken cross the road?")

Dear Mr. Konan,

Your account details are well noted and funds will be sent soon. Ivory
Coast is far too simple of a code and I fear could easily be guessed. I am
prepared to wire the funds into your bank as soon as I hear back from my
partner there. With the money that is at stake, I must have your
cooperation in providing a suitable code to use so that you will know that
you are releasing the boxes of money to the right person.

I am still not sure how I will be transferring the demurrage charges to you.
My partner will inform me after I receive her email to some questions. I'm
not sure whether it will be via Western Union at this time. I am waiting
on advise from my partner to let me know if I should involve my attorney and
send it directly from my bank to your bank. If it is to be via Western
Union, it is my understanding that I won't need to involve your bank.
Please be assured that I will destroy any documents with your bank account
numbers on them for your security.

I have another matter that I am attending to today. You should expect my
reply tomorrow once I have heard back from My partner. At that time I will
send you notice of how I am sending the funds and the total amount. I would
like to include an additional $1,500.00 for you personally as my way of
saying thanks for helping me and my partner in this matter.

Regards,

The Red Baron.

Dear Mr John,

I'm in receipt of your detailed mail. Please I will want you to get yourself
out of the tension of Maria. Try to be a man and bring her back to the
house. Can't you see that your children love her and have gone for her
before you?. She need to be around the house to make your children feel
complete. I will not any thing that will make your children to feel upset.
When they are upset, it will affect you and definitely will affect me as
well.

Please note that Mr Dago Djiriga Michael is a honourable Senior Advocate of
this Country. I feel you are comparing his fees vis a vis what is obtainable
in your country that's the Western World. There are other things he need to
do like he explained to me in details. Maybe, if you have called him and
discuss with him, he would have better explained to you.

He need to visit Viga Assistance for several times, go to Court and file in
some papers as regards to the Change to your favour as we agreed, he will
also need to stamp duty the documents and finally submit them to the Viga
Assistance to have them affect the Change legally to your favour. He will
need to make phone calls and the rest of other things that will make him
give out his best to us. Please consider him. He's such a nice and kind man
that's well respected here and with all that you have said you will do for
me, you can as well extend it to him just to have his best. He's the last
person that will take advantage of both you and me.

As regards to the Viga Assistance Company, I would not want you to start
picking quarells with both the Security Company and or even the Lawyer. All
what you think is a different ball game here as this is Africa. Africans,
I'm sorry to make this comment but can't afford not to say it, can frustrate
someone with their bereaucratic redtapism when they want to without caring
whose ox is goored. From what you said in your mail, you are also guilty of
the same mathematical offence you are accusing them of. You said that they
are demandind another USD$5,500 including their demurrage charge of
USD$35,000 which comes up to USD$40,500 and not USD$41,500 as you said in
your mail. I assume that it's this same stress that is disturbing you and I
will want you to come out if please, for health sake.

If you have the mind to give them USD$45,000, I wonder why you are
complaining of USD$40,500 not withstanding that I have already informed you
that they will charge for their Alteration fee. Please check out my last
mail to you and see if I'm correct or not.

About the issue of sending accross these monies to the various channels
here, you remember that you told me that you have this money in a
discretional cash and that Elenor doesn't know about it. Then why do you
want to involve her when you can go to any nearby Western Union Money
Transfer Office and effect the transfer and in the next few minutes, the
monies must have reached the various offices here that we need their
services?. Not until you marry her legally and officially, anything you are
doing with me must remain confidential. Please do not misunderstand me as
I'm saying my mind which is without prejudice. You promised me that you will
take my directives religiously to realise the finalisation of this
transaction to it's smoth conclusion and you will have to keep to it.

Our inability to finalise this transaction before Thursday will all depend
on you since you have the cash with you to finalise the transaction even
under two days. What it will take you is only to adher to my helpful advices
because I'm here and you are not and it's my duty to lead my Partner to the
right part to achieve our (you and me) goal.

Your observation about my tight budget is absolutely correct and I thank you
for your understanding as regards to this but where are you going to get the
extra USD$5,000 to give to me?. From my calculations, the whole of the
USD$50,000 which you have cash have been tied with the the paying of the
demurrage charges, Attorney fee and part of my travelling expenses. Please
explain.

I have the thought of going to Canada because in your last mail, you
mentioned about the idea you are nursing to leave from the US because of the
talk you had with your Commander that did not go down well. You refused
going into details and I don't want to force you. Therefore I feel as well
that I don't want us to continue to be close yet apart since we must invest
this 80% of the USD$22M as stipulated in the Text of the Investment
Agreement I sent to you. Therefore if you want to stay in the US or Canada,
I will be ready to be close to you even if we won't be living under the same
roof. We will need to be close to you to get acquainted fast with the
Society there. The decision is yours.

In summary therefore, I can't thank you enough for the good thoughts you
have about me and my family and wish God Almighty will give you the heart
and mind to accomplish it as you desired.

Expecting your immediate response.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

Dear Mr. Johnathan K. Sebastian 111,

Thank you for your correction but I must tell you that it's not intentional.
It's a typographic error. It won't happen again.

I wonder if it occured to you as well that you addressed me also as Mr
Micahell which is a great negation to my own name as you can see below your
mail to me. We all are human that's bound to err.

I felt so much assulted by your statement that a Lawyer of my Capacity can
take advantage of his client. (It seems to me that you are trying to take
advantage of me and Mrs. Kabilia). Please my dear friend, I will want you to
go to the "ORDER OF THE ADVOCAT" in my country and know the lawyer you are
seeking for his services. It will interest you to know that I was called to
the Bar in 1978 and the 4th in the list of Lawyers in my country. Does that
mean anything to you?.

I want to draw your attention that what you are requiring from is a
professional service but unfortunately, you felt it's nothing. I can't
represent you for free based on the kind of personality (Mrs Kabila) that is
between you and me but it's professionally unethetical for me to allow
emotional attachments to overule my sense of judgement.

To register such type of Affidavit in the High Court of Justice and not even
the Customary or Magistrate Court in this French colony, do you know how
much it's cost here ?. However I will expect your call later in the day.
But I must have to talk to Mrs Kabila over this issue.

BLAIRE MICHAEL is my son and he's a Lawyer too. He's incharge of your file
in my Chambers. He's among the 25 lawyers working in my Chambers. Mrs Kabila
can tell you more about me.

Best Wishes,

Dear John,

I'm just coming back from the Security Company as Mr Konan Mohammed called
me for the clearification of this matter.

Why did you do this to me?. It's least expected of you after I forewarned
you. However, I have cleared them on this as I insisted that the contents of
the two boxes are Family Valuables.

They showed me the letter you wrote to them as you said. But that one is
over now. I told them that it could be a mistake you made that made you to
mistake Family Valuables for money.

Please I'm begging you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ not to make this
kind of mistake in the future.

Fortunately, I'm holding the keys to the boxes and once we pay them their
demurrage charges, they will release the boxes to me as Mr Konan Mohammed is
a gentleman. Their company is very big Public Liability Company that's
leading amongst other Security Companies in this country.

Another information I wish to give you is about the Western Union. Since you
have not to Western Union before, you have to know that Western Union do not
transfer more than USD$10,000 at a time. This is applicable all over the
world.

What you have to do is to ask Mr Konan Mohammed to give you about Five names
with which you will divide the money you wish to pay them into five places
and send it to them in Five different Western Union around you.

You will not be allowed to pay more than USD$10,000 to a particular person
or beneficiary at a time.

Please insist that what you want to say is Family Valuables and not money
that you are aware that their Company do not guard cash rather valuables.

I have already prepared groung for you in this respect.

If there's any other thing that you don't understand, please do not hesitate
to let me know without delay.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

in large amounts. The limit is actually $7,955.00. There is no such thing

Dear Mr. Konan,

Please accept my apologies for the confusion. In my country, valuables are
often referred to as "money". Please rest assured that the boxes do indeed
contain family valuables that belong to Mrs. Kabila. I believe that she has
visited your office to clarify this as well.

Due to a mathematical error on my part, I will not have sufficient funds to
wire the additional $1,500 as I mentioned yesterday. However, once we have
the packages in our possession, we will be able to cover this promise and
then some. Please be patient with us.

As you are now already acquainted with Mrs. Kabila, it is no longer
necessary to use a code phrase for her. However, you must give me your
assurance that you will only release the packages if Mrs. Kabila is present.
Under no circumstances are you to release them if she is not present. Can I
count on you for this?

I am working with the offices of Western Union to wire the funds to you.
They told me that there are more than 70 locations in Abidjan. As I didn't
know which office would be more convenient to you there I asked them give me
information on a couple of offices that you could pick from. If there is an
office that would be better for you, please let me know.

Number and I will provide them with a test question and the representative's
name on your end that will receive the money. With the MTCN and the correct
answer to the test question, the office on that end will be able to disperse
up the money. They told me that my total charges to send funds in excess of
$40,000 will be $1,600 to $1,700. For this reason I am unable to wire the
additional funds that I promised you. Please give me a total amount that
needs to be wired taking account for your daily fees through Thursday of
this week. I will be at their offices on that day to wire the funds. We
will use the test question that you and I have already established. Please
give the chicken a drink. (ha ha).

I will notify Mrs. Kabila that the demurrages will be paid on Thursday so
she can be at your offices to pick up the packages. She is an honorable
woman and I am sure that she will be able to give you the bonus that I
cannot at this time.

Best regards,

The Red Baron.

2/4/2003 (Now to Mrs. Kabila. Note the change, I have gone back to calling
her Mrs. Kabila and she now calls me John:)

Dear Mrs. Kabila,

Again, please accept my sincere apologies for the slip up. It won't happen
again. I have sent an email to Mr. Konan explaining things. I hope he buys
into the story I gave him.

I have also taken the liberty to fire Mr. Michael. He was very insulting to
me and questioned my sincerity and motives to you. My honor is something
that I won't allow to be questioned. I'm sure you will agree that this is
for the best. I'm sure there are other lawyers there that can help us.
Please look for one at once.

I have contacted a local office of the Western Union and you are right, it
is easy and I won't need Eleanor's help. They did correct me on the limits
however. The limit is actually $7,995.00. However, they do have a
department that handles amounts larger than that. I will be able to send
the full amount to Mr. Konan in one transfer. They will provide me with a
Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and I will provide them with a test
question. Mr. Konan already knows the test question and the answer that
must be given on that end to claim the funds. I also provided him a list to
choose a Western Union office that is close to him. The agent here told me
that there are more than 70 offices in Cote D'ivoire. I will also need to
know if the same office will work for Pastor Williams for the funds that I
will send for you.

The offices are: (repeat list)

The test question that I will use will be, "Why did the chicken cross the
road?". The answer you will give will be, "Because it was hungry". Don't
worry about the additional $5,000 that I want to send. That is my problem
and you shouldn't be your concern.

I have asked Mr. Konan to give me a detailed accounting through Thursday of
this week. That is the day you will need to be in his office to collect
your packages of "Family Valuables". I have asked for his assurance that he
won't release them without you being there. He has been so kind in all of
this, I think it would be prudent to give him a small bonus. Can you please
take care of this, as all of my funds will be tied up with Western Union.

I had previously sent my bank account number to Mr. Michael. You will need
to give that number to the new lawyer so that you can transfer the 22
million to my account. When do you plan on coming to the States. I will
have to arrange for someone to pick you up at the airport and for a place
for you to stay until you get situated.

I won't bore you with the details of Maria and I. This email is already
long enough and it is evident in your email that it isn't too interesting to
you as you failed to advise me. But please know that incredible things have
happened for Maria, the children and I and that I have made my decision as
to what to do.

Best regards,

Johnathan Sebastian.

2/4/2003

Dear Mr. Konan,

Message received. No need to send your email to me 4 times. 1 is
sufficient. Eco Bank it is then.

Please, the answer is "Because IT WAS thirsty." Not " Because THEY ARE
thirsty". A mistake like that could result in not being able to get the
money from Western Union when they ask you the test question.

I have done some calculations of my own and there is something that is
bothering me. Mr. Laurent Kabila deposited the packages with you on January
13, 1999. This Thursday will be February 6, 2003. This works out to be
1,485 days. 1,485 @ $50.00 per day equals $74,250.00 On January 13, 1999
Mr. Kabila also gave you an advance deposit of $40,000.00. This would leave
a balance of $34,250.00 in demurrage charges to be paid on Thursday. Add to
that the $5,500.00 for your alteration fee and transport and insurance and I
come up with a figure of $39,750.00. There is a discrepancy in your figures
of $750.00. This is what is bothering me. Can you please explain why the
extra $750.00? Mrs. Kabila led me to believe that you are a reputable firm.
A mistake like this is unacceptable. You indicated that an accurate fee
payment would bring out your best. Well, an accurate invoice will bring out
my best. Have you added this in because I am unable to pay you the bonus
that I promised you? I have already explained that Mrs. Kabila will take
very good care of you.

I look forward to your detailed explanation in this matter.

 Regards,

Red Baron.

Dear Mr Johnathan K. Sebastian,

I do not know from where I offended you. It was you who insulted me but as a
public servant, I swallowed it under hookline and sinker.

In my last mail to you, I was only trying to repeat your statement verbatim
and here it is: "I felt so much assulted by your statement that a Lawyer of
my Capacity can take advantage of his client. (It seems to me that you are
trying to take advantage of me (you) and Mrs. Kabilia). Please my dear
friend, I will want you to go to the "ORDER OF THE ADVOCAT" in my country
and know the lawyer you are seeking for his services. It will interest you
to know that I was called to the Bar in 1978 and the 4th in the list of
Lawyers in my country. Does that mean anything to you?."

I was only qouting your statement and at the same time drawing your
attention that this your statement is not good enough at all to be addressed
to somebody like me.

I wonder how you understood it to mean that I was accusing you of taking
undue advantage of your partner. That was why I braketed that your statement
to inform you that it was your statement and not mine. You supposed that I
said this to you and see how offended you felt and how about me that you
said it to?.

However, I can't change your decision. But do not give a dog a bad name just
inorder to hang it.

By virtue of my profession, I'm not permited to insult a client rather I can
give legal advice and assistance.

I didn't know when you started with Mrs Rosemary Kabila and can't seperate
both of you.

I wish you good luck.

Thank you for your clarification. I can imagine that some one in your
capacity takes a lot of things hook, line and sinker. However, my mind is

I wish you luck in all of your future endeavors.

2/4/2003 (Time to upset the cart again)

Dear Mr. Michael,

I have thought a lot about what you said, "do not give a dog a bad name just
inorder to hang it". That is a very clever saying, one that I had never
heard before, but I think I get the meaning. I acted hastily towards you in
my last email. I have read over the email that you sent me, and I can see
your side of the argument and I am sorry. Also, the fact is, I know I can't
find a Lawyer to represent me in your country in one years time let alone
within the next few days as I now have.

This having been said, if you would still consider representing me, I would
be honored to have you act in my behalf. Your fees of $750.00 will be
honored as requested. I have made arrangements with Mrs. Kabila to wire
funds to her and with the consignment company, Viga Assistance. I will be
transferring money to them on Thursday via Western Union. Please let me
know if this would be acceptable to you.

I hope there are no hard feelings. If it where within my power to send more
to make it up to you, I would. However, I am using all of the cash I have
at my disposal right now. When this is all over, I would like to send you
and your family a gift. Do you have Children? I have seven myself. Are
you married? I have recently, well, very recently, yesterday, in fact
re-married. Maybe I could send a nice gift to your wife?

Please reconsider and forgive a fool of his stupidity. I look forward to
working with you.

Subject : Re: Change of heart for your fees

 Dear Mr. Johnathan K. Sebastian,

I have received two of your mails but will choose to follow up the most
recent. Please understand that I will represent you at the High Court for
your request. I have a strong belief that to err is human and to forgive is
devine. Sincerely this is from the bottom of my heart and there's no hard
feeling at all.

I will be 74 come Frebruary 28, 2003. I have six children, four men and two
women. They are all happily married. I have amongst my children, two
lawyers. My last born Mr Blaire Michael is a lawyer in my Chambers and I
have told you this before. My last daughter is a lawyer too and she's with
her husband in Belgium. My first daughter is a medical Doctor with her
husband in Paris. Whenever you hear that I went to Paris for medical check
up, it's in her hospital. My first and second sons are engineers and my
third son is an accountant with one of the local banks here. My wife was a
banker but retired now still happily living with me. She will feel honoured
to receive a gift from you. On behalf of my family, I am wishing you a happy
remarried life.

Nothing is like explanation. I will be going to the Court this morning to
represent you. Money is not everything you know?. I value good relationship
than money at this my age and extent in life. I have called on Mrs Kabila
this morning to meet me in the Court for Attestation of the Oath.

I hope to write you back in the evening to brief you on what happened in the
Court today.

I personally feel honoured in representing the foreign Partner of Mrs

Dear Mr John,

I'm in receipt of your detailed mail but I'm a bit confused here. You said
you have fired our enterprising and vibrant Attorney without my concent.
This morning, he called me to meet him in the Court for the Affidavit. I
told him that you said that he's no longer going to represent you for a
reason I'm yet to understand. He took me to his Office and showed me the
letter you sent to him where you have reconcilled with him. I was thinking
that you would have written me to counter your idea of firing him. However,
I will be going to the Court with him and I hope you will not find it as
disobeying you?.

Everything is okay with the Securuty Company and I believe that they bought
your idea supporting what I told them. I hope like you promised that this
kind of grave mistake does not repeat itself for everybody's good. Things
nearly went sour yesterday if I wasn't fast enough.

Many thanks for your efforts on the Western Union Money Transfer Office
there. The information they gave you is correct but the Western Union here
have more than 500 offices scattered all over the nooks and crany of this
city. My pastor can pick the money at any of the Western Union offices so
long as you sent forward the transfer informations like I told you : The
name of the Sender, The name of the Receiver, The MTCN and the text
questions and answers including the exact amount sent from there. That all
they will need here.

Please Mr John, I will want you to send to the Viga Assistance the amount we
agree which is USD$40,000.00. You should remember that we will need the
services of a bullion Van to convey the consignment to the Bank for
deposition and for onward transfer to your given Bank account number. There
are a lot of expenses to be made here by them and you don't expect me to
open the consignment before the Security Operatives of Viga Assistance to
pay for the Bullion Van. This will amount to letting the cat out of the bag
by the same person that put it in the bag. This will bring problem to us
with the Security Company and you will never forgive me if this happen. I
understand that your hands are tied up to finalising this transaction come
tomorrow being Thursday but sometimes, we should allow the sleeping dog to
lie. I said this because Mr Konan Mohammed called me on phone this morning
while I'm on my way to The Attorney's Chambers and I know what he's asking
me. He want me to bring money for the Bullion Van while coming tomorrow
because you said that you will not pay the remaining USD$750.00 that would
taken care of this and some other things. I'm assuring you that all these
men are honourable men here who can stand on their word to you.

I hope to leave for the States as soon as this money is wired into your
account which is most likely early next week. I want to stand by and see
that everything is okay here and then I can leave. My Pastor want to
organise my send off by next week with our brothers and sisters in the
faith.

Please let me know the incredible thing that happened between the family and
Maria. It will be recalled that I advised you to go pick her home. I did in
my yesterday mail.

Expecting your immediate response.

Dear Mr. Konan,

You are missing the whole point of my letter. I don't care what the charges
are so long as you justify them. You have graciously dropped the price to
$40,000.00, but that still leaves $250.00 un accounted for. The bonus was
to be over and above the invoiced amount and has nothing to do with the
amount that your company is owed.

Once again you have used the wrong response to my question. The answer is
"Because IT WAS thirsty." Not " Because THEY ARE thirsty". We are not
talking $40.00, we are talking about $40,000.00. How in the world will you
ever be able to pick up the money at Western Union if you continue to fumble
your way through the easiest of the things that I ask of you.

I believe it is now time to explore a more simple and secure way to transfer
the funds. Please have your accountant contact me and make arrangements for
me to transfer the funds directly to your bank account.

2/5/2003 (To Rosemary)

 Dear Mrs. Kabila,

I am sorry for the confusion. Let me clear it up by saying, If I am paying
the bill, then Mr. Michael was working for me. If I fire him or retain him,
what's the difference if I am paying the bill?

I will forward the MTCN to you tomorrow after I send the money. There is
still a small matter with the amount that Viga is requesting. I'm sure they
will have an accurate accounting by tomorrow. I have only a narrow window
to make the transfer before we are to board the airplane to got to Niagara
Falls.

Of course I realize that you would have to hire some help to move the boxes.
That is why I am sending you the extra $5,000.00 to be used at your
discretion. Why on earth would I send extra money to Viga to pay for a
service that was for you? You must be under a great deal of pressure to not
have thought about that before. Be patient, Soon the stress will be over.
Naturally I would expect that you would stay until everything is finalized.
Only a fool would want you to leave early only to find that something had
fallen through the cracks.

Thank you for asking about Maria and I. As I mentioned, the children
traveled to the abbey to see her. I also went there. I spoke with Mother
Abbess and she counseled with me about Maria. I asked her what she thought
I should do. Her inspiring words were as a song. As she spoke, she asked
me the following, "How do you solve a problem like Maria? How do you catch
a cloud and pin it down? How do you hold a moonbeam in your hand?" It was
then that it dawned on me and I knew what I must do. I told Maria my true
feelings about her. I was overjoyed to hear that she felt the same way
about me.

To make a long story short, I took her from the abbey and we went straight
to my commander and he performed the marriage. I know that Julie would want
me to be happy. I have decided to go along with our plans to cross into
Canada. We will be in Ontario this Saturday. I will contact you from there
to make arrangements for you to meet up with us. Max is going to help us
cross over. He is a little upset because he won't be able to make money
from the children's singing careers.

Isn't it somewhat ironic that I will need your help when you get here to the
States to help me get the 22 million transferred out of my account here in
the states to a bank account in Canada? For once I leave here, I won't be
able to return.

It's hard to believe that this is almost over. It is as though our meeting
was meant to be. Sometimes I think that my life is as a movie. And this
movie will have a happy ending. Are you able to watch movies there? We
have stores here where you can rent movies. Movies are just a few of my
favorite things.

I look forward meeting you face to face.

Best regards,

John

Dear Mr John,

I'm in receipt of your mail and wish to announce to you that our Court today
was a big success. Mr Michael Dago Djiriga was wonderful today in the Court.
He insisted that the Court must grant him his request today and it happened
that way. It now remaining him to stampduty the judicial documents notarize
them and advise it to the Security Company to effect the change to your
favour. Isn't that a great news. This is a good thing that has happened to
this transaction.

Again this evening, Mr Konan Mohammed called me and informed that you wrote
him still insisting that you will not make that money up to USD$40,000.00.
However, I will want you to pay the USD$39,750.00 which is in your mind and
through western union still since I will be in their office tomorrow for the
clearance.

You seem to be quick to temper or is it out of your military training?. From
the way Mr Konan was talking to me, it's as if you got annoyed with him. I
will from the money you will send to me see to any other miscelleneous
expenses that might crop up by tomorrow.

If you pay the money to the security Company through their account of their
Bank, don't you know that it will take some time before the money will clear
in their account and they will like to wait for their accounts to be
credited before effecting the change to your favour and most importantly,
they will not release the consignment by tomorrow as they promised. From the
way Mr Konan Mohammed spoke to me, he doesn't want to fall short of his
promise to you of releasing the consignment to me by tomorrow. If they fell
to receive the demurrage charge by tomorrow, they will definitely not
release the consignment to me and all these efforts we have putting in will
be to no avail. Please calm down with them and finalise this tomorrow before
your travelling if not I will be in a mess.

I'm glad to hear that you married Maria and she will be happy and the
children too. How did Elenor feel when the news of your marriage with Maria
get to her since you said that she want to have a relationship with you
outside official matters?.

So how much finally are you sending to me through my Pastor by tomorrow?.

I will appreciate it the most if you will heed to my advice as regards to
the Security Company. I will wait until the money gets to your account in
America before jetting out from here.

May God Almighty Bless You and Your Family for this wonderful assistance you
are rendering to me.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

2/5/2003

Dear Mrs. Kabila,

Wonderful news! It is good to see that I was wrong about Mr. Michael.
Please do convey my sincere apologies to him for being so harsh before. My
military training sometimes gets the best of me. Sometimes it even effects
me with the children. Up until Maria came into our lives, I used to blow a
naval whistle whenever I wanted to summon the children. They each had their
own signal. Maria refused to learn it and that is when I realized what
exactly the navy had done to me. I knew there was something special about
Maria the very first night she was with us. Kurt is so incorrigible that he
placed a live toad on her seat at dinner. Maria played along and didn't
tell me so that Kurt wouldn't suffer from my temper.

I did not tell Mr. Konan that I refused to pay the money. I simply want a
proper accounting of the funds. It is ultimately your money after all and
not mine that I am spending as you will be reimbursing me as we agreed. The
navy has taught me to be watchful in all things. I would not be a good
business partner if I didn't take good care of you, now would I?

As for Eleanor, she is very upset. So upset that she left as of this
morning. I am both sorry and happy to see her go.

I have no problem paying them via Western Union if you don't. Again, I
remind you that it is your money. I will be sending Pastor Williams a total
of $13,250.00. That breaks down to $7,500 you need for travel expenses,
$5,000.oo for miscellaneous expenses and a special bonus for Mr. Michael of
$750.00 for his hard work and as my way of saying I'm sorry. Please don't
tell him until you give it to him. I wish I could be there to see the look
of surprise on his face when he gets what so justifiably deserves.

How are things for Pastor Williams? Do you think we should send him some
money to help out with his church? I'm sure he will be sad to see you
leave. With Eleanor out of the picture, I can now have access to my bank
accounts without fear of her finding out. Any amount you think would be
appropriate for Pastor Williams is fine with me.

Do you remember the secret test question and the answer you must give? I
will forward a picture of me as I am sending the funds tomorrow.

Regards,

Johnathan K. Sebastian

These artifacts are extremely valuable and we must take every precaution

Dear Mr John,

I'm in receipt of your detailed mail and wish to thank you so much. Just
like you pointed out in your yesterday's mail, at the begining, it looks as
if it won't come to an end but thank God that today, we are at the moribund
of this transaction and I will ever remain grateful to you and God Almighty.

Please note that it will come to the last point of my appreciation if you
will send accross some money to my Pastor as you suggested. Himself, his
family and the entire members of the Church will be missing me greatly and
his wife feel like crying when she had the news of my travelling very soon.

I'm not in your pocket but this Pastor deserve something good that I will
always be remembered for.

It's really a pity that Elenor is feeling that way but what God himself has
joined together, let no one put assunder. She should be remembered of this.
I envy Maria.

I will carry your message along to the Attorney as you instructed later in
the day when you must have send accross the transfer informations.

I will not forget the secret code even if I tried to. How can I forget
something that's so important like that?.

Once again, thank you very much and May God Giude you and the children to

Expecting your immediate response.

ELEANOR! to ROSEMARY KABILA

2/6/2003 (Oh Eleanor, how could you do this to poor sweet Johnathan?
Eleanor has set up a new email account and contacted Mrs. Kabila.)

Dear Mrs. Rosemary Kabila,

You know only of me from your email correspondence with my former employer,
Mr. J. K. Sebastian. Some time ago I became curious about Mr. Sebastian's
behavior and began monitoring his email. What you may not know, is that he
has married his nanny Maria and I have left his employ. I have worked for
him for a very long time now and that was the thanks I got from him.

Before leaving him, thanks to his emails to you, I learned of the cash he
was privately keeping. This I have taken from him. I have also laid a trap
for him in Niagara Falls. I have alerted the naval authorities of his plans
and he shall be taken into custody and court marshaled and then thrown into
prison.

However, with the money I now have in my possession, I would like to make
you a proposition. I would like to become your new foreign partner. For my
services, I will ask 20% of the 22 million dollars that you have. I have
extensive investment knowledge and can easily make up for the additional 5%
that I am asking for.

John was everything to me. Can you imagine how hurt I was when I learned of
his feelings for that no-good tramp. He has millions already from the
settlement from the death of his wife. I have nothing now.

Please let me know if we have a deal.

Sincerely,

Ms. Eleanor Parker

J. K. SEBASTIAN to ROSEMARY KABILA

2/6/2003 (And of course, John's reply...)

Dear Mrs. Kabila,

I received the invoice from Mr. Konan this morning. Please tell him thank
you. I won't have time now to write him properly. We are on our way now to
the airport. I'm afraid I heave some bad news. Please don't despair,
however, I have a plan to fix it. When I opened my safe this morning to get
the cash to send to you, it had been emptied. Inside was a note from
Eleanor. It read,

"My Dearest John, I always dreamed that it would me that you married and not
Maria. You have broken my heart. Maria could never love you the way I
would have loved you. You thought I didn't know about the money in this
safe, but as you can see you were wrong."

Love Always, Eleanor.

I am so thankful that you had the foresight not to tell Eleanor of my plans
or my dealings with you. If she had found out, there is no telling what she
would have done. You are a very good judge of character and you sized her
up very well. This will obviously delay things a bit, but please don't
fear. I still have the funds necessary to send to you. It will only delay
things by one day.

Yesterday after Eleanor left me I feared that she would try something like
this. I had already put things into motion with my bank to transfer all of
my funds to their subsidiary bank in Ontario, Canada. The transfer was
completed this morning and is waiting for us when we arrive there. After
the first rehearsal in Niagara Falls, I will go across the border to Canada
and to the bank and withdraw the funds that I need to send. Then after the
second rehearsal, I will go to the Western Union office there in Niagara
Falls and send the money from there.

The timing will be tricky, but they trained me in the navy to function well
under pressure. I should have everything finalized by 5:00PM tomorrow
evening. By my calculations that will put it around 10:00 or 11:00 PM your
time. I checked with Western Union to find the hours of operation for
Ecobank. They told me that they are open on Saturday between the hours of
8:00AM and 4:30 PM (your time). Please contact Ecobank at (225 ) ( )
22404010 and confirm this. You will be able to pick up the funds first
thing on Saturday.

Max has used his influence to make sure that we are the last singers in the
contest. As the judges are deliberating the outcome, we are going to sneak
out the back where Max will have a car waiting for us. This will be around
10:00PM. As soon as we get across to Canada, I will email you the Money
Transfer Control Number, and the total amounts for Pastor Williams. I will
be contacting you from an Internet café just outside Ontario. My time will
be limited and it is important that I get the email to you before they close
for the evening. If I run out of time, I will send you the MTCN and amounts
for MR. Michael and for Konan Mohammed. Please see that they get the
numbers. You already know the test question I will use and the response.
Please confirm the answer in an email to me. I don't want there to be any
more delays.

If all goes well, by Saturday morning we will have what we have waited for
all this time. On Monday morning, I will set up a new account with the
bank and I will send you the new bank information so that you can transfer
the 22 million.

Wish us luck! I am eagerly awaiting our new life in Canada. I shall
contact you from there.

Your friend always,

Johnathan

I have been extremely careful that no one knows of my plans. Is there any

J. K. SEBASTIAN to ROSEMARY KABILA

2/7/2003 (Oh Johnathan! You devil.)

My dear Rose,

Thank you for your continued friendship. Please don't worry about me. Now
I see that you are the person I thought you were; a true friend with only
good intentions at heart toward me.

I'm afraid that I owe you a very big apology. You see, I had suspected that
Eleanor had been reading my emails for some time now. She is very
diabolical and she would stop at nothing to get all of my money and destroy
me. She has always been bitter that I wouldn't get involved with her after
the tragic death of my wife. I had to come up with a way to get away from
her. I've had to play a small game of deception to keep her off my tracks.

The Navy never contacted me. That was just to through Eleanor off. I knew
that she would contact my commander and try to stop me. I had to continue
the rouse or she would know that something is up.

If Eleanor thinks I am escaping to Canada, that will be the last I ever hear
of her. It is imperative now that you continue to play along with her
little game. Since this email account has been compromised, I shall
discontinue using it. I have set up an alternate email account that you
may contact me through. Please continue to communicate on the old email
address as well so that Eleanor will continue to believe that she has won
and we can have some fun at her expense. My naval commander is going to
play along and have me arrested as part of the scheme. The new email
address where you should contact me is: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Please forgive the deception. I will follow the plan we set up and wire the
money as I mentioned in my previous email. You should have the funds
tomorrow.

Please know that we are here safely in Niagara Falls. The children are
excited and are eagerly waiting for the talent show. Canada is so beautiful
It makes me want to climb every mountain and forge every stream here.

Thank you for your understanding and help.

Your friend,

Johnathan

Dear Eleanor,

I'm in receipt of your mail and have noted your excitement over coming to
meet with me here.

You will be advised to fly the Air France. This Airline flies here daily
from different parts of the world because this country is the Heart of West
Africa and at the same time a Tourist Country of the West Africa where all
and sundry from all works of life visits for Tourism. You will be expected
to give them this reason if anybody ask you your motive of coming here.

There are a lot of things to be done before your arrival here if not you
will stay here more than necessary.

1. You will need to contact an attorney here who is currently drafting an
investment agreement that will be between you and me. You will write him
requesting him to represent you in the High Court here to change the
beneficiary of this consignment that is currently in the name of Mr
Johnathan Kennedy Sebastian111. You have to understand that without this,
the Security Company that's taking custody of this consignment will not
release them to you on your arrival here. As soon as the draft investment
agreement is ready, I will advise it to you for your opinion before we will
sign the original on your arrival here.

2. You will also write an application to the Security Company requesting
them to change the beneficiary of this consignment with them to your favour.
I will hereby give you the text of the application letter you will write to
the Security Company.

Meanwhile, please see enclosed, the contact of the Attorney. I have already
informed him my intention to change once again the beneficiary of this
consignment to your favour from the already beneficiary which is Mr
Johnathan K. Sebastian :

You will need to contact him as quickly as possible. You will also need to
forward the below text of application to the Security Company without delay.
I will be sending to you the documents of this transaction when I get your
response today.

Expecting your immediate response,

Have you send the application I asked you to send to the Security Company?.
If you don't take my directives over this transaction, I will be forced to

In the first place, I did not get any flight schedule from you on Friday and

there.

I'm really afraid that something should not happen to you. I'm anxiously

I really do not know how to explain your position to our Attorney and the
Viga Assistance security Company.

However, our Attorney have successfully stamp dutied the judicial documents
and have forwarded all the necessary documents to the Security Company to

  Dear Rosemary,

I have had some trouble with the bank. When max tried to withdraw so much
money after it had been so recently transfered to Canada, they started
asking a lot of questions. When he didn't have the answers they were
looking for, the intire account was frozen. I will have to go back to
Ontario to sort it all out. I have a flight there tomorrow morning. As
soon as the problem is resolved, the funds will go out.

  Stay safe,

Dear John,

Have you written to our Attorney and the Security Company to explain this
current situation to them?.

You told me that you called the bank and they told you that the money have
been successfully tranferred and you did not inform them that you will be
sending someone to come there with your order on the cheque to collect such
amount?.

Why was the whole account frozen?. This means that you will never have
access to the account until future clearifications from you. While this
future could not be determined by you as I guess, the demurrage charge here
will continue to increase. This is not in our favour you know that.

I doubt if we could ever finish this transaction. You told me that you will
transfer this money on last Thursday but it was never to be. The reason was
that Eleanor carried your money. On saturday again you were suppose to
transfer the funds to things to do with it here, the bank in Ontario got
your account frozen. Not even refused giving Max money but they got it
frozen.

I'm really afraid.

Kind regards,

2/10/2003 (wave the money in her nose one last time. Later today she will
be receiving another email with copies of the receipts from Western Union.
Actually, the receipts have been doctored a little bit and will be coming
from the Western Onionn (with 2 N's).

Dear Rosemary,

I have just finished my meeting with the bank this morning and am now back
at the hotel. Everything went well and things are back on track. This bank
has a policy that money coming from a foreign country into a holding account
must remain in the account for a minimum of 2 banking days. Today completes
the waiting period and they have released sufficient funds to me to complete
the 3 Western Union transfers.

The total amount that I am sending today comes to $54,000.00. $40,000.00
for Viga Assistance (I am adding extra to cover the extra holding days),
$13,250.00 to you through Pastor Williams and $750.00 for Mr. Michael.
Western Union has estimated the total fees and taxes to transfer that sum to
be about $3,000.00. I will be at their office in Niagara around 2:00 this
afternoon. I am told that within minutes of sending the funds, they will be
available to you, so I estimate that you will have them around 8:30 PM your
time. As my previous email was compromised, I will be changing the test
question. After sending the money today, I will send you an email with the
control numbers and the answer that you must give to the test question.

I still have not received anything from Mr. Michael concerning the agreement
between you and I for the $22,000,000.00. Please have him contact me at
once. I will keep the answer to his test question to myself until I receive
the documents that he promised. He won't be paid until I have them. Please
stress this to him.

When Eleanor left my employ with the money that she took from my safe, I had
one of my contacts in the navy tail her. He tells me that she came up
missing on Friday evening and no one has heard from her since. The last
information that we have as to here whereabouts is boarding a flight to New
York on Friday evening. I fear that she is up to something. I wouldn't be
surprised if she tried to contact you and go around me in this deal. I
trust that you will let me know if she tries to contact you?

Please don't be afraid. This will all be over soon and we will be "laughing
all the way to the bank", as they say in the US.

Best regards,

Johnathan

ELEANOR TO ROSEMARY

2/10/2003 (Eleanor is not too happy with Kabila...)

Dear Mrs. Kabila,

Now you listen to me, you may think this is a joke, but I am not laughing in
the least. I am sitting here in this awful city alone. I took you on your
word and now you are thinking about changing your mind? Furthermore, I
received no such demand from you that I send anything to the security
company. You said to come to you and I am doing just that.

I realize I left rather abruptly, but I had no choice in the matter.
Johnathan had someone watching me, so I did the first thing I could think of
and that was to leave. I tried to contact your son James on the number you
provided, but kept getting cut off when the phone was answered on his end.
I would like you to provide the number for your attorney, Mr. Michael, and
we will speak lawyer to lawyer to work this whole mess out.

I am not leaving Paris until you re-assure me that we still have a deal. No
more email. I am tired of playing your little games. I want to speak to
you or Mr. Michael on the phone no later than tomorrow, or I will return to
the US and take the money with me. You speak of having your suspicions
aroused, how do you think I feel?

Let's do this or not, but no more games.

Dear Rose,

The money has now been transferred via Western Union. The hotel was kind
enough to scan the payment receipts for me. They are attached and have the
MTCN's. When Mr. Michael sends the agreement between us, I will forward the
answers to the test questions that I used with each transfer. You will then
be able access the funds.

I look forward to finally having this all behind us. Please let me know
when you plan to leave so I can make the arrangements.

Best regards,

Johnathan

****************

These were of course, fake. They came from the Western Onionn, with 2 N's
and yes "Onionn". They were scanned and converted to very small resolution
files so that the only legible information were the fake control and
swiftpay numbers. Here, some of the real verbiage was deleted from the
document and replaced with the following:

"This is a joke. Do not give this idiot anything. If they are stupid
enough to try to cash this in, then the joke is one them. If you are stupid
enough to give them the money, then the joke is on you."

Other parts were deleted to make it obvious that it was a fake.

Subject : GIVE ME YOUR FLIGHT SCHEDULE.
Date : Tue, 11 Feb 2003 12:05:43 +0100 (CET)

Dear Eleanor,

I'm in receipt of your mail which is not well noted. I beg your pardon, did
I read you well when you said that I'm playing games?.

Before ever you left from your base to Paris, I told you that there are
things to sort out before you can arrive here and as if I knew it will
happen, but you could not listen to me. I don't care if Johnathan or
whatever you call him is watching you through somebody or not. What's my
concern is to organise this transaction well for our both benefits and
that's all.

I wrote you informing you that you must write an application to the Security
Company requesting them to change the beneficiary of this consignment which
has already been put in the favour of Mr Johnathan to your name and address
and I will be here to help this work out according to our plans. But you
never did so.

I also informed you to write my Attoney asking him to represent you in the
High Court of Justice here for the Affidavit which will enable the Security
Company to effect this change to your favour but I'm suprise you said that
you did not receive the mail when it did not return to my box as
underlivered mail. How possible. We are talking about USD$22M and not
USD$22.00.

Please to assure you that I'm not into any funny joke, find enclosed the
telephone number of my Attorny : + 225 07 655 389. Please dial the number as
given.

You will have to as well contact the Security company via their phone and
E-mail address : + 225 07 71 53 74, viga_assistance@yahoo.fr with special
mention to Mr Konan Mohmmed who's the Operational Manager of the Company.

I will want you to call James immediately and insist on getting him on line
since this is very important to both of us.

I hereby attach to you the application letter you will have to write to the
Security Company without delay. You said that I told you that you should
come to me but you should as well remember that I'm not the company that's
keeping custody of this consignment.

I'm sorry that you are there in Paris all alone but if you have listened to
me, you would not have been there stranded. I will have to get your flight
schedule to enable me trace you at the Airport here.

Below is the letter I wrote you on Saturday the 8th February 2003 which you
claimed that you did not receive.

Subject : Re: Money transfer

Date : Tue, 11 Feb 2003 12:41:39 +0100 (CET)

Dear John,

I'm in receipt of your two e-mails to me and I have noted the Wstern Union
Money Transfer Slip that you sent for my perusal but unfortunately, the
compute at your end did not scan them very well thus making it unreadable at
my end.

You can easily write out the informations of the transfer in the mail and
send to me for easy collection of these funds.

You are aware that these funds are for something very very important both n
your life and mine too. The extra few days that you wasted in sending the
funds, you can see that it cost you extra money to make up for the Security
company. Will you again spend another money in this regards when you know
quite well that you have no address to enable Mr Michael send you the
Agfeement Document through DHL or any other courrier sevice and it will
definitely take not less than three days for the documents to reach you.

It's dangerous to allow this money you transferred to stay in the Western
Union more than tomorrow because this is Africa and your Western World where
things are orderly arranged. Your keeping the text questons and the answers
including the MTCN to yourself since it did not appear very well here, is
suprising to me. Are you trying to say or imagine that Mr Micheal will not
send you the Agrement documents or what?. I don't understand. Is he not the
person that even reminded you that he will send the agreements to you?.

Where is the address with which he will send you the documents? Please send
the necessary informations to me so that i can finish up in time and start
my journey to meet with you. Have you finally arrived in Canada or are still
in Niagara Falls?. You dd not tell e anything about the children's
performance at the singing outing.

Understand that Eleanor has been writing me. You said and advised me that we
should play along with her for your safety until you are finally out to
Canada. This is your advise is what I've been doing.

Please Mr John, can't you understand my kind of woman uptil this time. Were
you expecting me to back bite you or stab you at the back that made you to
feel that I can prefer Eleanor to you? If I have an intention of doing that,
I will not let you know initially and unfortunately I'm a woman of honour
and she can't sway me with her legal treaths or sweet words.

When I was a First Lady in my country, many women lawyers like her were
under me as a woman leader and that was why why I was able to read her kind
of person at the first instance you told me about her and that was why I
warned you about her.

Expecting your immediateresponse.

Kind regards,

MRS ROSEMARY KABILA.

J. K. SEBASTIAN to ROSEMARY

2/11/2003 (Iwas going to end this today, but she makes it so easy...)

Dear Rosemary,

My patience are growing very thin. I sent my address to you and Mr. Michael
on January 30, 2003 when I returned the agreement to you. There has been
more than enough time for Mr. Michael to have sent the agreement to me via
DHL and for me to return it there. $50.00 a day is a cheap price to pay to
get things right, don't you agree? Without legal protection, I am not
prepared to move forward.

The money is quite safe with Western Union. I have done extensive research
on them. They will not release the money to anyone without the proper codes
and more importantly, the answer to the test question which will remain with
me until I have the agreement as promised. I tried to have you hire a
competent lawyer to have this worked out, but you insisted that we use Mr.
Michael. Tell him to get off his but and do his job! Tell him to email the
document to me for crying out load and let's get this over with.

My sources have tracked Eleanor down. Would you care to tell me what she is
doing in Paris, France trying to book passage to your country? You say that
you are a woman of honor, yet you seem to be playing both ends against the
middle. I was born at night, but it wasn't last night! Eleanor will be
detained indefinitely in Paris. I have many contacts in Europe and she will
never get on a flight to Africa or anywhere else for that matter. She is
stuck in Paris and will remain there.

Rose, the funds are there. I'm sorry but, any additional demurrages will
have to be paid out of the extra $5,000 that I sent you. I can afford to
wait, can you?
Best regards,

Johnathan

stalked in Paris and can't risk trying to contact Kabila right now.)

just came in, 33 million in over invoiced petroleum contracts! That will be
fun!)

Dear Rosemary,

The past few weeks have been very exciting. A lot has happened. It's as
though my life was taken right out of the movies. The answer to the test
questions is the following:

"Yrots suolcudir siht rof gnillaf rof toidi latot a ma I". If you read the
phrase backwards, it will make sense to you. You now can get what you
deserve.

I would also like you to visit the following website:
http://www.foxhome.com/soundofmusic/cas/casm.html. There you will be
introduced to all the characters in my little charade, except for me of
course. You see, Johnathan Kennedy Sebastian, III does not exist. I made
him up. Just like you made up the $22 million dollars. The entire story I
gave you was from the movie, "The sound of Music". I bet you feel pretty
dumb right about now. Well, you should.

Oh and, please let Mr. Konan and Mrs. Kone of the Viga Assistance company
know that Mr. Wayne Sutton does not exist either, I made him up too. There
are no packages going to South Africa. Wayne's World is actually a comedy
routine from TV.

I played the same trick on you as you tried to play on me. As long as I
kept waving the money in front of your stupid nose, you kept coming back for
more and falling for every word as you so eloquently put it, "hook, line an
sinker". I wish the tables were turned and you actually had a few bucks. I
bet if I were the one scamming you, I could have actually got you to send
the $54,000.00 to me.

Good bye forever!
