Subject: await your news

Dear Friend,
I wish to introduce myself. My name is Steve A.Cappa. About 1985, I was abandoned as a baby at a garbage dump near a construction site in the city of valancial, spain. Fortunately, one of the site workers found me and carried me to the office of the expatriate owner of the company, John Cappa, a whiteEuropean, an Italian.
The expatriate took me to a hospital, where I was taken care of. While I was in hospital as a baby, the expatriate made efforts to trace my mother, making announcements on television & radio, sending people to markets to ask market women if they know of someone looking for a baby. Nobody came forward. The expatriate?s wife, Mrs. Ava Cappa, also lived in spain at the time and she had a great love for children. She offered to take care of me until my natural mother showed up. Her children had all grown up and were working in Asia, so she was a bit lonely in the big house they lived at valancia, spain. Although Mr. John Cappa tried hard for several years, my natural mother was never found. One year rolled onto another, as I grew up in the house of the Cappas. Mrs. Ava Cappa raised me like one of her own children, sending me to school and helping me with my homework. I have pleasant memories of my childhood.
Unfortunately, Mrs. Ava Cappa died of cancer. Seeing how much his wife liked me, Mr. John Cappa continued to take care of me after the death of his wife. He sent me to University where I started a course in Sociology.
Shortly after I started my university degree course, Mr. John Cappa was involved in a plane crash in Europe. Mr. Cappa's lawyer informed me that Mr. Cappa had left for me the sum of $15 million in his will. I have since concluded the formalities and the fund is now in my name.
Presently, I would like to go to your country to buy a house, finish my university education and invest my funds. I am seeking for some one I can trust whose account I intend to transfer the fund into and I shall pay the person 10% of the fund.
I would like you to consider allowing me to use your account to transfer the fund.
Await your urgent news.
Steve Ava cappa.

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear John Ava Cappa,

You pathetic child! At this time of the year, my heart goes out to your plight, your plea has not fallen on deaf ears. What can I do to help you?

Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for the mail, i will like you first to please furnish me with you contact details such as your full name and phone and fax number with a copy of your international passport and driven licenec for record purposes As soon as i have this i will then inform you on the next line to take without any futher delay.
Thanks for your effort.
Steve.

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve Cappa,

Please forgive me for addressing you with the name of your father. With all the hustle and bustle of this busy season, one gets rather confused by it all. Accept my apology, please. And, please do use my name. Rayvold may be awkward for you, if using my shorter name, Ray, is easier for you, it is all right to address me as Ray.

My full name is Rayvold Xavier Nazmiazar
My address is 43 No. Oxious Blvd. Pringles, Arkansas
Telephone number is 2024355031
I do not have a "driven licenec". I do not know what that is.

My passport information is not available for your scrutiny. With identity theft so prevalent, it is inconceivable that you would ask for it, unless you wish to use it for some illegal purpose. Please assure me that this is not the case.

I will await further correspondence from you.

Subject: be rest assured

Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for the mail, It is important I let you know how this transaction can be completed in a short possible time, but firstly I must make you understand that i am not a dubious person and will never be a party to such practice,
Every details I require from you will be used to prepare all the vital document in your favor as my subsequent beneficiary of the funds so you have to be rest assured that you will not have a problem releasing your details to me. As soon as i have your complete details I will then furnish you with the necessary details on how this fund can be release to you,
I await your news.
Steve.

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve Cappa,

First, I told you that you may call me Ray. Do not call me "friend", we have not even shook hands! Call me by my name.

Second, if you require some sort of official documentation of my identity, I will furnish you with the permanent number on my DRIVER'S LICENSE, but under no circumstances will I permit you to have even a copy of that item. The same holds true for my passport. If my identification should fall to the wrong hands, there may be unfortunate consequences for all concerned.

Deal with it. Let's get on with this thing. Being an orphan is one thing, being heir to a great fortune is another, not being able to access that fortune is something else, but let's don't quibble about this tiny obstacle.

Besides, I do not know YOUR identity! All I have from you is your story. Can you at least send me a picture of yourself, so that I can see with whom I am corresponding?

Ray Nazmiazar

Dear Ray,
Thank you for the mail, I want you to understand something, this document will require your details to prove the identification that you are the rightful beneficiary.
Well, if you are not safe with this then I think something is wrong somewhere. I have to be very careful because I do not want to fall into wrong hands, this fund is my only hope and I do not have any other means to raise money again in life.
I hope you understand,
Steve.

Our Lad Steve is understandably frustrated...

Dear Ray,
Merry Xmas to you and your entire family, I hope everything is fine with you? I called you with the number you gave me but has not been able to speak with anyone sine then, I have left messages on the voice machine and has not gotten any mail to confirm the receipt of my message.
I hope things are fine and no game in this issue?
Please let me know what the problem is as I am about to get things ready this weekend in your name.
I need to get you on phone first before I will proceed.
Regards,
Steve.

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

Our family does not celebrate "X"mas. We celebrate CHRISTmas!! I am so tired of people writing " Xmas", when the holiday is CHRISTMAS!!! It is called CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you wish us to continue this correspondence, I suggest you use the correct word.

To get back to the issue, I think the cold and icy weather here might have affected our telephone lines. I have had trouble myself when I tried to call my friend Tyrone Bowteye. Perhaps you should try again in a few days, when the phone line people have had a chance to investigate the problem.

For the meanwhile, I hope we can continue correspondence by e-mail.

Please let me know, as I do want to help you with your endeavor.

I will go ahead and prepare every document in your name by tomorrow morning and forward to the finance house as soon as i confirm that they have resume work tomorrow. As soon as they have your details, they will contact you immediately without any further delay and advise you on how this fund will be release to as soon as possible.
But note that your presence might be required so you just have to prepare your mind and let me know immediately.
Please I want you to indicate in your mail what you do for a living and please tell me how old are for identification reason.
As soon as I have your word today, i will then move ahead and contact an attorney to move ahead and file this paper without any further delay.
Please also indicate your fax number.
Steve.

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I suppose I could travel to Valencia, Spain to meet with you. Are you sure my presence is required so soon? The reason I ask, is that I hadn't planned a trip to Europe until late January, but I suppose I could move it forward for this business. I will go to Spain for my company.

You asked what I do for a living, I am in the import/export business, with my partner Art Van deLay. We specialize in handmade rugs from Costanza, a tiny village in the southern Pyrenees mountains of Spain. Perhaps you know it? It is fairly close to Valencia.

I am 42, married with 3 children, Jerry, Cosmo, and George. My wife Elaine and I have been together for about 15 years. A lovely girl, quite the dancer, but rather outspoken at times.

The bad weather continues to plague our telephone system, but I will continue to try to reach you.

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve Cappa,

I just returned from spending the New Year week with my family and friends skiing in Colorado. WHAT A TIME WE HAD! It was just great! I don't think I've ever had so much fun in my life.

There were no televisions, no computers, plenty of snow, sunshine and skiing, lots of food, and logs for the fireplace, plenty of liquor and wine. Everything was perfect for a relaxing and refreshing vacation, time to renew old friendships with some people I hadn't see in years.

Now back to work, and catch up on correspondence.

You must write back, and let me know what has been happening with this business of ours. I will be close to a computer, so I can monitor my e-mail.

I understand that the consignment would have reached Newark airport on Tuesday, and Myron Bank received it into their custody yesterday.

I assume this has happened on schedule, so what remains is to hear from Inonye Roberts. I already have my ticket to New Jersey, so all I have to do is reserve a flight.

Dear Steve,

I have not heard a single word from Inonye Roberts. I think he might have stolen this money of yours, that he might have just thought it would be easier on everybody, if he just took off with your goods. After all, you are in Spain, I am still in Arkansas, and it would be many days until we could catch up with him, if ever. Don't forget, he has a 2-day head start on us, and he could have gone in any direction with all your money.

Dear Inonye Robert,

Steve Cappa has asked me to inquire from you the status of our transaction.

Since I have not heard from you since Tuesday, I wonder what is happening? You were supposed to let me know when the shipment was in your custody, but I haven't gotten any confirmation from you. What is going on, have you appropriated the shipment to your own personal use? You're not a crook, are you?

Rayvold Nazmiazar

Trying very hard to reassure young Steve, I send this helpful little note:

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I just looked at my mail from you, and can tell you are very worried, so I sent this to Inonye Robert:

Maybe this will spur him into action, if he is still in this country! Maybe he's lying on some beach in the tropics, laughing at us for trusting him with all your money. I sure hope not!

An indignant note to Inonye Roberts...

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Inonye Roberts,

I have read your message, and I accept your apology for the delay. However, I certainly expected to hear from you sooner than 6 days! Were you hesitant to contact me, worried that I would be angry for the delay?

If there is any obstacle in the proceedings, it would be a courtesy to apprise the other parties of it, lest they think you are involved in the misappropriation of the shipment. It is only good business, and good public relations. Being in your position, and dealing with the public, you should be well aware of the importance of complete honesty, so as to build trust among all participants.

You seem to be one of these people in business, who treats his clients with disdain, as if they are assumed to be less in stature than himself. Young Steve is quite anxious about this transaction, and rightly so. It seems to me that you owe him a large apology. It is, after all, HIS money!

Rayvold Nazmiazar

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I have written a note to Inonye Roberts, chastising him for putting us through nearly a week of confusion and mystery about this transaction. I hope I haven't stepped over the line, as far as you are concerned, but I feel that someone has to stand up for you, since you are a young man with no father to stand at his side.

Sometimes these bankers think they are better than us, that they can treat us like we are worthless! This is wrong, I think, and I told him so. Here is what I wrote to him:

"...Dear Inonye Roberts,
I have read your message, and I accept your apology
...yadda yadda, same letter...
quite anxious about this transaction, and rightly so. It seems to me that you owe him a large apology. It is, after all, HIS money!

Rayvold Nazmiazar..."

If this is too strong, in your opinion, I apologize to you, but I hope this meets with your approval. Maybe now Roberts will know that he is not dealing with a couple of children!

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I'm sorry for this lapse in our correspondence. There was a minor emergency with one of my sons, Jerry. His favorite teacher, Master F. M'Domayne, was involved in a theft of a "MarbleRye", whatever that is, and I had to go with him to see the local constable.

I read your mail with great concern for you. You sound so scared--much like my own sons, when they think the world will crash down upon them!

Inonye Roberts hasn't even mentioned a dollar-figure yet! It might not be as much as you think.

Please don't panic. I urge you to wait and see what Roberts says. He wrote to me that he would provide a "Bill of Lading" to me today, which should have all the particulars. We should just be patient, and see what develops.

It is good that I am on your side, to try to calm you down. I realize that you are very young, and have no parent to guide you, so you see only the immediate problem. You must learn to address the problem and try to see a solution. With age comes wisdom, Steve, and you must act in a mature and calm manner. It is less stressful on your soul.

Be patient, Steve. We are in this together.

Your friend, Ray

Dear Ray,
Thank you for the update, yes I can see the reply you send to him asking him if he is a thief, The amount is much as you say but I don't think we have an option since it has gotten to this point.
You should understand that diplomatic means of shipment could be expensive at times when it comes to financial matter like this they have to be extremely careful
But if I may ask you Ray, what amount where you expecting before as you are very conversant with issues like this you should know as a matured business man in this system.
Now that you have insulted them I believe they will not get angry and return back the consignment to where it came from. But it is a good thing you spoke your mind.
I want to beg you now for my sake and for the sake of God to please contact them now and ask them how you can get the money across to them and go ahead and pay it immediately without any further delay to avoid complications.
Please Ray this is my only hope and I can not afford to loose it just like that as you know that I have no body by my side to care for me it is only you I that I believe that you will help me.
I promise as soon as you make this payment and claim this consignment I will reimburse you with a big compensation for your effort.
I promise that whatever amount you spend to get this transaction completed will be deducted from the total amount and will be paid back to you with compensation.
Please Ray, my heart is in my mouth now as I am waiting to here from you as soon as possible.

I will ask the cargo company to return the consignment back to Spain since it has come to this level.

A little note to Steve...

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I think you've had a stroke of really bad luck. I just received this from Inonye Roberts:

"...Dear Mr. Ray...yadda yadda...Regard, Inonye Roberts..."

So sorry about all this. And just when I was able to borrow the money from my uncle Clemons. I guess you've been tapped by the flying fickle finger of fate. I wish you the best of luck

Rayvold

And, to Inonye Roberts...

GO AHEAD, SEND THE SHIPMENT BACK TO SPAIN, I DON'T CARE.

HOWEVER, YOUNG STEVE ISN'T GOING TO BE VERY HAPPY ABOUT IT (AND I STILL THINK YOU'RE A THIEF). REGARDS, RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

BY THE WAY, 184 ISABELLA AVENUE ISN'T IN NEWARK, IT'S IN IRVINGTON,

Dear Ray,
Thank you very much for the mail, I am happy now that you have a solution to this matter, I will say it is because of the manner in which you address him in your last mail that got him angry this was why he said he will be sending the cargo back to Spain.
But I believe this will not happen since they have already delivered it to the state for clearance, if they send it back to Spain who is going to be responsible for the fright charges again me or who?
So you see this will amount to other expenses which neither me nor you will be responsible for.
I want you to please contact him immediately now andask him the way he want to receive the money so we can get this transaction completed without any further delay
Please I want you to remember all my promises to you and the entire family; I don't want you to let this little issue stand as an obstacle to our progress after all our long time patience with this bank.
I believe after you make this payment probably today this consignment will be release to them so you can now fly to them for further clearance before Monday. I am making every necessary arrangement on how I will secure my necessary traveling document so I can meet with you and the entire family in Arkansas for further disbursement and investment arrangement.
I believe you will act accordingly as I have requested as I believe that you are with me till the end of this transaction.
Please contact Inonye Robert Now and finalize issues with him on how you will get the money across to him later today.
Thank you for your usual understanding and corporation.
Steve.
NB, Please indicate your contact mobile number in Arkansas so I can call you now.

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I've received your mail, but I can't understand why you want me to give you my telephone number! Whatever would you want to speak to me about? Our deal appears to have died.

Don't you realize that Inonye Roberts has decided that the shipment is to be returned to Spain? Beyond that, it probably isn't any of my concern who pays for the freight. If you can't pay for it, or arrange for the freight charges to be withdrawn from the millions therein, then it seems that you are pretty well "screwed", my young friend.

I will be leaving this weekend for my trip to Costanza, Spain, where I will be acquiring those wonderful hand-loomed rugs. My partner, Art Van deLay, is really hot to get these rugs into the stores by March, so I have to finish my travel arrangements. If I get any free time, I will try to look you up, and meet you in Valencia. It's not very far from Costanza.

My family, wife Elaine, and sons Jerry, George and Cosmo send you their very best wishes. Good luck to you.

It would have been great to help you get your money, and I sure could have used it for the boys' college funds.

Ray

Just as I sent the above mail, I get this from young Steve, who is half dead by now...

Dear Ray,
It sound like you are not financially capable of handling this transaction this is why you are not boarded to contact Inonye Robert again Since you are living for Spain why don't you contact the officer in Spain so he can meet with you as soon as you get to Spain so you can claim it there and make every necessary arrangement?
I am in London. You can reach me on 44-704-011-1544
So as you claim this in Spain I can come and meet you so we can make further transfer to Arkansas.
Let me know if it is ok by you to meet with the office in Spain but note that you are to pay for some charges before it can be release to you in Spain but I don't know if it will be up to this previous bill.
Let me know as ASAP.
Steve.

This deserves a reply, n'est-ce pas?

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

1) "...It sound like you are not financially capable of handling this transaction..."
I am MORE than "financially capable of handling this transaction" I told you I was able to borrow the money from my uncle Clemons. Since Inonye Roberts got all huffy and puffed up, and said he was going to return the consignment to Spain, I didn't see any reason why I should keep Uncle's $25,000, so I gave it back to him.

2) "...why you are not boarded to contact Inonye Robert..."
'boarded"-------- do you mean "bothered"? You'd better continue your education at University, and concentrate on taking some English classes, learn the basics of grammar, punctuation, etc, if you plan to come to America to live.

3) "...Since you are living..."
I am not going to be living in Spain. I am LEAVING for Spain tonight around midnight. I will arrive in Madrid at 10:25AM, rent an automobile, and motor up to Costanza. I live in Arkansas, remember?

4) "...why don't you contact the officer in Spain so he can meet with you as soon as you get to Spain so you can claim it there and make every necessary arrangement..."
I do not have a contact telephone number for the officer in Spain. I don't imagine there would be anybody in the office on a Sunday, anyway.

5) "...I am in London. You can reach me on 44-704-011-1544..."
London? I thought you were in Valencia.

6) "...I can come and meet you so we can make further transfer to Arkansas..."
If you can travel from London to Costanza, we can meet there. There are no airline flights to Costanza, as it is a small village in the Pyrenees mountains. They don't have much of a railway station, which is why I'm renting a car to get there.

6) I could arrange to have the consignment shipped at my expense, I checked with an air-freight company, and a 73-pound cargo would cost me less than $800 to ship. I was right. Inonye Roberts is a thief. $25,000 my foot!!!

7) "...but note that you are to pay for some charges before it can be release to you..."
I don't know how much the charges might be. Is there any way you can find out, and let me know before I leave for Madrid? I'll either call Elaine from New York, and she can tell me if there is any word from you, or I will look for an Internet port at Kennedy airport, and check my e-mail tonight.

8) "...I don't know if it will be up to this previous bill..."
It better NOT be, but you can never tell, they might try to stick me for the charges, AND the freightage, which would REALLY make me very angry! See if you can find out anything about this deal, and I hope to hear from you by tonight.

That's all the update I have for you. Keep me posted.

Your friend, Ray

DEAR MR. RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR,

WE ACKNOWLADGE THE RECEIPT OF YOUR DATED MAIL. THE PROCEDURE IS AS FOLLOWS:

THE CONSIGNMENT IS A DIPLOMATIC PERSONAL EFFECT, IT ARRIVE HERE ON YOUR NAME AS THE BONI-FILD BENEFICIARY. AS A DIPLOMATIC CONSIGNMENT, IT IS NOT ALLOW VERIFICATION BY THE CUSTOMS AUTHORITY OR ANY LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENT, SO THIS IS WHY THE CLEARANCE FEES ARE ALWAYS HIGH.

UPON YOUR ARRIVAL IN SPAIN, YOU ARE TO COME WITH THE TOTAL SUM OF 15,125.00 EURO CLEARANCE CHARGE BECAUSE THE CONSIGNMENT WILL BE CLEARED UPON YOUR ARRIVAL WHILE THE CLEARANCE CHARGE IS PAID.

ON THAT WEDNESAY AFTERNOON, YOU ARE TO GO TO OUR CLEARING AGENT OFFICE FOR THE CLEARANCE CHARGES PAYMENT WHILE THE CONSIGNMENT WILL BE CLEARED IMMEDIATELY AND RELEASE TO YOU WITHOUT DELAY.

CALL ME UPON YOUR ARRIVAL AND INFORM ME THE NAME OF THE HOTEL WHERE YOU ARE, SO THAT OUR PROTOCOL OFFICER WILL MEET YOU AND TAKE YOU TO ANY OF OUR AVIALABLE CLEARING AGENT OFFICE FOR YOUR CONSIGNMENT RELEASE.

MAIL ME BACK TO NOTIFY ME OF YOUR ARRIVAL TIME IN MADRID SO THAT WE CAN START TO PROCESS THE RELEASE OF THE CONSIGNMENT FROM LONGROOM AT BARAJAS AIRPORT MADRID, SO THAT UPON YOUR ARRIVAL YOU CAN THEN MAKE PAYMENT OF THE CLEARANCE CHARGE AND THE CONSIGNMENT WILL BE RELEASED IMMEDIATELY WHILE THE PROCESS HAS BEEN ALREADY CONCLUDED BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL.

FOR FURTHER INFORMATION PLEASE CALL TEL: 0034699790550

BEST REGARDS

DR. BORISE DON,

Trying to decipher some of these Lads' instructions can be mighty frustrating...

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Sir:

You should probably make up your mind.

ON THAT WEDNESAY AFTERNOON, YOU ARE TO GO TO OUR CLEARING AGENT OFFICE FOR THE CLEARANCE CHARGES PAYMENT WHILE THE etc, etc,

CALL ME UPON YOUR ARRIVAL AND INFORM ME THE NAME OF THE HOTEL WHERE YOU ARE, SO THAT OUR PROTOCOL OFFICER WILL MEET YOU AND TAKE YOU TO ANY OF OUR AVIALABLE CLEARING AGENT OFFICE FOR YOUR CONSIGNMENT RELEASE. etc, etc.

MAIL ME BACK TO NOTIFY ME OF YOUR ARRIVAL TIME IN MADRID SO THAT WE CAN START TO PROCESS THE RELEASE OF THE CONSIGNMENT FROM LONGROOM AT BARAJAS AIRPORT MADRID, SO THAT UPON YOUR ARRIVAL YOU CAN THEN MAKE PAYMENT OF THE CLEARANCE CHARGE AND THE CONSIGNMENT WILL BE RELEASED IMMEDIATELY WHILE THE PROCESS HAS BEEN ALREADY CONCLUDED BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL

WHICH IS IT????

Write you? Call you? Go to my hotel? Go to your clearing agent office? Release the consignment from longroom (What is that, by the way???) at Barajas airport?

Make up your mind, man! All this is confusing. The only part of your letter that was clear, is the amount of the clearance charges.

I wonder if he gave me the right number? He didn't even give me the name of the office where your money is being held, so I can't look it up!

I wonder if he is another incompetant who you're innocent enough to align yourself. You have to be careful, Steve, when you deal with some businessmen. All they want is your money, without a care for you as a person.

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I have had quite a time the past 4 days! I have just returned to Costanza, after being marooned in a tiny village up in the Pyrenees mountains. I doubt if I could find my way back there if I had to return.

Let me explain what happened. Tuesday afternoon, I was just concluding the purchase and arranging for the shipment of the hand-loomed rugs and runners for which my partner had contracted, when we were interrupted by some men who wished to conduct business with the manager of the trade company. They were insistent, so I courteously allowed them to continue with the manager, and I waited in a nearby caf´.

As it turns out, they were Andalucian zither stringers, who had several zithers with them, and access to more of the same--a real stroke of luck on my part, as zithers are extremely rare, and difficult to obtain. If I could bring some back with me, it would be a major coup for me, and the profit from re-selling them would be enormous!

As I waited patiently, I was soon joined by these 2 fellows, who were so grateful for my generosity in allowing them to conduct their business, they insisted on hosting me to a wonderful dinner, many drinks of a local beverage known as "rel´mpago blanco", and an immediate trip to their remote village to get the zithers. I didn't even have a chance to pack a valise for the trip--all I carried were the clothing I wore! Not even a toothbrush.

('naz note: "rel´mpago blanco" is Spanish for "white lightning")

I have just returned to Costanza after these few days, and I am simply exhausted! We consumed several more drinks of rel‡mpago blanco, and started on our way. We arrived at the village at night, and fell immediately asleep, but in the morning we were surprised to see several inches of new snow on the ground, a situation which makes the roads impassable! So I was obliged to spend a few days as the guest of that wonderful village and its most gracious people, and to sweeten the experience, I came away with 25 zithers!

My partner, Art Van deLay, will be ecstatic to see them, and I will be the "King of Importers" for quite some time! A HUGE feather in my cap, and I will make some SERIOUS big money into the bargain. I know you will share my happiness, Steve, this is just a wonderful stroke of luck.

Anyway, I guess I won't be able to contact Dr. Boris Don until Monday. I sure hope we can conclude this deal of ours, and I can get back to my home and family. I really miss them very much. First thing I'm going to do is take Elaine dancing. She's been after me for weeks to go to "The HOP". Every day, it's, "Come on, let's go to The HOP!!"

('nother 'naz note: This is a line from the Danny and the Juniors hit, "At The Hop"--oh my, am I telling my age? We must assure the reader that I was acutely aware of American Bandstand", and even watched it every day, from the confines of my cradle, of course...I digress...) Back to the bait du jour...

I will keep you posted, my young friend. Stay the course, we will see results very soon.

Ray Nazmiazar

So long, Steve, it's been a hoot...

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I tried all day Sunday, and up until an minute ago, to contact Dr. Boris Don, and the number you gave me is not connecting at all--the number you gave me is 34697990550?

This is just a short note I'm writing, before boarding the airplane to return to the U.S. I'm sorry I couldn't meet with Dr. Boris, but I have to return to my family, and my business. I can't wait to see the look on Art's face when he sees the zithers I'm bringing, and all the gorgeous rugs!

Good luck to you, Steve, I hope you get your money.

Rayvold Nazmiazar

Not wanting to appear unconcerned about the Lad, a short note goes out Thursday morning...

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I can't understand why I have not heard from you in several days. Are you ill? Has some accident happened? I hope you are all right.

Write back and let me know you are OK.

Ray,
You are not a serious person at all, after all my effort you still turn out to be a lier.
I do not have anything to say to you again rather to contact the security company and finalize with them on how you will caim the consignment.
Steve

But I must have the last word...

RAYVOLD NAZMIAZAR

Dear Steve,

I am a serious person, a VERY serious person. Serious thought goes into each e-mail I write.

Do you have any idea how much effort it takes to keep track of all the scams I'm dealing with? I am currently in contact with 5 of your comrades, and I'm telling each of them a different tale.

I tell you, keeping 5 "characters" straight takes a great amount of serious concentration! Sometimes I make a little mistake, but I can usually figure out some excuse to cover it up, and none of you scammers seems to mind a bit. All you can think of is the wad of cash that you can swindle out of some "rich American" that you chaps all assume we are--not all Americans are rich, but most probably make more money than YOU do.

Let's face it, "Steve" (I don't for a moment believe that is your real name, you know!) you are not an orphan, a rich Italian did not rescue you from a garbage dump, his so-called "wife" did not tutor you, and you are definitely NOT at university--most likely, you are hunched over a laptop in an Internet coffee house--and you do NOT have $15 million dollars in a consignment at a security office.

Do you know how many "orphans" I've corresponded with over the past 3 years? AT LEAST A DOZEN!

Do you know how many "barristers" representing "widows" (mostly Mariam Abacha, of course) At least a dozen!

Do you know how many "dead bank customers" who either died in a "ghastly motorcar accident along the Sagbama Expressway" or a "plane crash"? Again, at least a dozen!

Do you know how many "over-invoiced accounts" have been addressed? At least a dozen!

The truth of the matter is, the only thing that changes is the dollar amount.
But it's always several million dollars.
And it's always "in a security office", and it's always a "consignment".
Sometimes a picture is included.

So long, "Steve". It's been fun.

RAY

P.S. By the way, I'm not a man, not married, no 3 sons, no partner, no trip to Spain. And no Andalucian zither stringers.
