Hello Amin,

There's not much entertainment to be had here in Weatherfield of late. My neighbours the Barlows and the Baldwins are fighting over Mike's factory and we're all looking forward to Sarah and Jason's wedding, but not much else. So you see, your email got my attention. Pies don't come cheap since Diggory shut his shop up so tell me, if I help you what's in it for me, the original Weatherfield bad boy?

Get back to me Cocker,

Terry

Terry,

Thank you very much for your reply. I sincerely appreciate your positive response and I will want to use this opportunity to assure you that this transaction is very legitimate and all the procedure will be legitimately complied with.

I want you to know that you don't have to involve any party because of security of this business. The legal advice we will use is going to come from my side, I will involve my lawyer so that we will swear all legal oats that we will need. You have to understand that this issue is sensitive and must be treated with utmost secrecy to avoid the authorities knowing and possible confisication of the money.
My client was able to safely put away the amount of Fifteen Million United States Dollars (US$15.000.000.00)in the Excrow Holding Account of the Bank.

So I want you to act as the beneficiary of the fund. We have intentions of investing our share of the funds in properties. For us to be able to lay claim to these funds and put to use, we will need to transfer all rights of beneficiary to you. If you are properly disposed to assisting, which I hope you are, I will perfect all documentations in your name and secure in your favour the whole documentations as the beneficiary of the total fund.
I must assure you that this business is 100% risk and trouble free hence the fund is a legitimate fund which does not originate from drug or money laundry or terrorism. All arrangement to see to the successful transfer of the fund to your account is already in place but my only worry is the security and safety of the fund once transferred to your account.
As such I will like you to send me a brief life biography of yours, a copy of your international passport, your contact address both office & home so that I will know that you are for real. You should also send me your correct account information of where you will like the fund to be transferred so that I will start to process the transfer of the fund to your account.

On receipt of the above information and a strong assurance from you that my trust and confidence in you is not misplaced, I will then start to process the transfer of the fund to your account without further delay.
Note that the aim of this initial transaction is to protect our future. In this regard as mentioned earlier, I have a desire to invest in the real estate sector in your country with your assistance.I am proposing a 25% compensation to you for your assistance in this initial stage.
I hope this is okay by you. Your contribution as beneficiary will see us through to success. So your full cooperation and commitment is required and nothing less.
If it is convenient, I will need you to come on board as the managing partner of that future venture and will therefore be needing your investment advise.
Please let me know if these terms are okay by you. Lastly, I hope that you will not disappoint me or take advantage of my situation here, It takes a lot to entrust such an amount into a strangers care considering the fact that we have not met before, but please understand that I do not have any choice for I do not want to loose the funds or deal with anybody that has the remotest of connection with my family or friends.
For this assistance, I will forever be grateful. My greetings to your family. Please send me an e-mail so that I will know your thoughts.

I will attach my identification for your records as soon as I receive the above required informations from you. I want you to also send to me your direct tel/fax number for easy communication.

Regards,

Samir

Ay oop Samir!

I was glad to hear from you. I'll be glad to help you out, to be honest I need some cash. None of my attempts to get rich have ever worked out -- in fact they've all gone tits up. I sold a dodgy car to my neighbour and she had an accident which killed her - I got the blame. Also, I tried to sell my son to his grandparents when the little lad's mum died. My own dad chinned me for that one.

Anyway, what I need is something to keep me in pork scratchings and ale for the rest of my life. As you need me, I wanted to say that I thought a 50% compensation would be fairer. Let me know what you think and we can get on with the paperwork.

Cheers,

Terry

Terry,

How will you assure me that this your hard luck will not affect our transaction? we will not give you 50% becasue my client has 50% while my share is 20%, then you will receive 25% while 5% will be used to settle all the expenses we encounterred during the process of the transaction.

I await to hear if you will accept it so that we will move forward.

Best regards

Samir,

Don't worry, my past is behind me. My days of being a bad lad are over. I must be straight with you though - I do have a criminal record and have served time in prison. I mention this now as I want all our dealings to be honest and I wouldn't want you to think I were hiding owt from you. Will this be a problem?

I've read your explanation of the way the money will be divided and 25% sound fair. Could you stretch to maybe 28%? It sounds like a lot of hard work and I've never liked to graft - you can ask me Mam and Dad, not that me dad'd have owt good to say about me. He's never forgiven me for what happened wi oor Tommy and the business with Judy Mallet. Still, that's all in the past, and as we say here in Weatherfield "You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead." Wise words from my old neighbour Mr Stanley Laurel from Ulverston in Lancashire. Anyway, I must go. I could type to you for hours, I feel you could be a really good mate - a friend I can rely on.

Terry,

I want to know the kind of business which you do so that I will know if you are capable of handling the fund because you will spend money from your side.

I want to confirm if you will be capable of handling this business because the account that where the money will be transferred have to be depositef with about maximum $50, 000.00, minimum of $15,000.00

I await to hear from you.

Samir,

As you probably know, I sell double glazing now and I am happy to say business is booming so I've got quite a lot of money in the bank. You might be interested to know that on Monday Sarah-Louise Platt was left at the altar (well registry office - it's not the same is it?) by Jason Grimshaw. Let me assure you that I will not leave you at any altar as I am completely trustworthy. My former Boss, a Mr O. Hardy once said he'd never seen a finer mess in all his life which is great praise indeed.

With love to you my special friend, Terry x

Dear Samir,

I am confused. I thought we were friends and now you send me a very rude email demanding my phone number and you don't even say please. If there's one thing Jack and Vera have taught me it is the importance of good manners. Are you not my special friend any more? If that is true then it makes me very sad indeed.

I need you to prove to me that I can trust you. I don't even know what you look like. Do you have an honest face?

Terry

Terry,

I am sorry to be rude, it is just that we need to talk on phone.

I await to hear from you.

Then I must admit, I forgot all about Samir until I was trawling through my old emails. I thought Terry might drop him a line.

Dear Samir,

I've been waiting to hear from you. The good news is that I am able to finally get around as my asthmatic leg is completely healed. The doctors wanted to put a catheter in me but I said "NO! I will do it Benny Hill style." Let me know if you want more info,

Terry

Then nothing for 3 months until:

Terry,

How are you my friend?
I am sorry you did not hear from me for long, I was detained because I wanted to travel out from my asylum camp which I have taken charge of everything.

Please respond to me so that I will confirm the transfer of the money into your bank account immediately for I cannot do without you because the money has been documented with your name as the legal beneficiary of the total money and no other person can claim the money.

I have raised money to finance this transaction which I will send to you as soon as I hear from you that you are still ok with me for the transaction, I will like you to confirm to me the bank account number where I will send the money to you.

Please get back to me and give me your contact telephone numnber. You can get meon my satelite phone number 0044 702 4016070.

Dear Samir,

It is good to hear from you my fiend. To be honest I thought you'd dropped off the face of the earth and so I'm pleased that you are still alive and well. You have emailed me at a good time as I have have just been released from the Betty Turpin Hospital. Things have not been good for me I'm afraid. My asthmatic leg ceased to breathe and had to amputated, then while in hospital I contracted Merrick's disease and have been suffering from the most inconvenient swelling. The authorities have widened all the doors in my house but having to wear a rough sack over my head to hide my face from the local children as I hobble around on my crotch is getting old. I tell them "I'm not an animal, I'm a human being!" but they still throw stones at me.

Some good news! I was able to get back to Weatherfield this week for Jack and Vera's 50th wedding anniversary and was gob-smacked to hear that Sarah and Jason are back on! What do you think of that?

To business. I'm glad you've managed to get all the paperwork in my name. I talked to my bank manager, Mr Mainwaring of the Home Guard and he said that although the transaction sounded a profitable agreement, he would like to rub himself with a copy of the documentation. Could you please email me a page that I can take into the bank to show him.

I must go, the nurse is here to apply lotion to my swollen parts.

I look forward to hearing from you soon,

Love and kisses,

Samir,

What can I have to show my bank manager? I must also tell you that the police have not allowed me to own a phone since 1998. Is there some other way to contact you?

Samir, my fiend,

I tried calling you earlier using a public phone but the number you gave me must have been incorrect. I ended up talking to a Leanne Battersby who is apparently the owner of an Italian restaurant that needs an investor. I told her that I might be in a position to invest in a few months, but before I could get more details my money ran out and we were cut off. I was quite traumatised by the experience and do not want to use a public phone again. Also I don't have anyone I can trust to phone you. I love my friends but they'd cut your throat for a bacon barmcake.

I'm also getting worried that you haven't sent me a copy of the documentation I requested? Why not?

Terry x
